Just wanted to share that two Cybertrucks BeardedTesla and TesLatino are currently making their way to the Arctic Ocean, driving all the way to Tuktoyaktuk without using any Superchargers. It’s an incredible journey—can’t wait to see if they make it!

I was wondering the same, and also why beat yourself up about not using superchargers...not being familiar with the route--are there zero superchargers up there?

There's other types of chargers in the world. Literally 120v, just a lot of waiting.

This will be an awesome trek! I drove from Virginia to Anchorage in 1998. Crossed into Canada around Grand Forks, drove through Winnepeg, Banff, Dawson, White Horse and crossed into Alaska at Tok. The drive took 11 days at 500 miles per day.

Driving through the Canadian NW was amazing! Literally, there is a post card picture around every curve and over every crest. I will follow this expedition with keen interest. Have fun guys!!

I’ve actually have done that trip three times, not many years ago. Once in a 2wd Nissan pickup, once in a friend’s Chevy Malibu, and once in an old Isuzu Trooper. I’m a fiddle player and love to jam with the local Inuit and Athabaskan fiddlers at the Midway festival at Fort McPherson.

Back when I bought my first Tesla, a new Model S in March 2013, I had wanted to make that trip, to be the 1st Tesla to do the trip. It’s actually an easy road. Though it is 500 miles, once you leave Dawson City, of gravel, the locals do it in all sorts of old beat up sedans.

So back when I bought my Tesla in 2013, there were only 6 Superchargers in the World. In 2014, the summer my gal and I were planning to make the trip, this time in the Model S (she had done it with me in the Chevy Malibu), she came down with AML leukemia and passed away. I have not been back to the Canadian Arctic since.

I think it was 2015 or 2016, an 82 year old fellow from San Diego made the first Tesla trip to Inuvik which was just south of Tuk by a few miles. The road to Tuk, was not yet open. I was impressed by the 82 year old fellow’s solo trip and there are articles about it online I’m sure.

Anyway, fabulous for TeslaTino and Bearded, you’ll enjoy the arctic!!!!

No Tesla Superchargers, but there are a few other charging stations like this one.
