So some good news in the rust/corrosion department. This over 10k CT had no rust, some discoloration and slight difference between panels etc but no rust prior to wrapping with a full PPF. Updated original post.
Also the "high" insurance # for these owners is being echoed by a lot of people lately, including some big "influencers" hopefully the insurance #s will come down as the truck safety data rolls in to insurance companies.

I'd guess high insurance numbers has much more to do with fear of repair costs than safety.

Yea I guess with there being so many unknowns about repair cost, hopefully that gets sorted out. For many of us, paying $2,000-$5,000 for insurance will make this truck unaffordable, especially with payment interest. $1,200+ a month for payment and insurance is a big bite.

That does seem high but really it's twice the cost of my Model 3 insurance which costs half as much.

Which makes sense, especially with the unknowns of repair cost etc. Some X owners also were saying that insurance price scaled pretty logically with vehicle cost etc.

Still going to be a tough pill to swallow dropping $3-5k on insurance :(

Not sure what the hysterical issue is.
But for most working Americans

x 12 = $2,556 is a pretty big insurance bill, significantly higher than it should be given the total cost of the Cybertruck.
You can insure similar price/size trucks for significantly less, so if hoping that CT insurance prices come in line with most other trucks is "hysterical" call me the mad hatter....

Another cybertruck over 10k miles.
This one from dblcapcrimpin.

Similar efficiency as other high mileage reports.
Looking at 218 miles for 100% of the pack
173 miles of range when using the standard 80% of the pack

Do we know how much of that 10K miles included towing the trailers? He's got a couple videos doing towing tests, IIRC.

Two trailer tests I am aware of, under 400 miles of towing.
The other two high mileage CTs have not used the trailer hitch yet.

Gigahorse is just trying to keep this negative thread alive. If it goes two or three weeks with no responses, he makes another post to bring it to the top again.

The Cybertruck in particular, and Tesla in general, threatens many financial interests, more than most even know. These interests have an army of minions online trying to make the products look crappy or unusable or having unrealisticly high insurance rates. Some pose as fans, some are actually web bots programmed to spread misinformation about EVs, and some just hate success or that Tesla is bringing effective auto manufacturing back to the US.

Gigahorse thinks he is being crafty by thowing in some good things in with the bad, in a desperate attempt to appear "fair and balanced". But his main schtick is to spread negativity about Tesla products while trying to appear credible. Just remember, the old truism applies here:

You just can't believe everything you see and hear. False impressions run deep.

Regarding range. The Cybertruck falls into the 3/4 and 1-ton pickup territory and slips through the EPA cracks. No EPA testing is required by law.

Tesla engineers know full well that Cybertruck battery range was going to suck, especially towing and off-road.
