Yes. They are armored glass. Not BR resistant, but tougher to chip or crack from hail or rocks. They will still shatter.

Do you know of any tests or anything? Like, is it 2x stronger, 4x stronger? Or just Tesla said it was?

I’ve seen videos of firefighters learning how to break through the Cybertruck door windows. Try a google search and you should find them.

Tesla claims the glass can withstand a baseball at 70 mph. It is described as armor glass.

Luckily my insurance company (USAA) took care of it. Thank God because it was a $4,000 claim. Both the glass roof and the windshield had to be replaced.

Good to know. I have them too. Haven’t ever had to use them yet in 15 years. Knock on wood.

Never thought about it, but it might be worthwhile to get a roof rack just for the added protection.
