FSD mistake - ignored no left turn

Do you mean autopilot or FSD. FSd does not care for most signs like “no turn on red.” Thats why it is still supervised.

14.2.1 has been doing remarkably well with "no turn on red" signs. Nice improvement.

I have been paying attention to two "no turn on red" areas in particular, both are on freeway exit ramps to arterial streets.

Most times there are other vehicles ahead and my estimate 50-60% ignore no right on red and proceed with their turns. I have been behind these vehicles directly and was worried when FSD was moving up as these were turning, it was going to follow the leader thru the turn on red also. It did not and stopped until green with turn signal on.

I finally was the first one off the ramp to the corner with a red light a few days back and I held my breath, ready to take over if it decided to turn on red after stop. Again, it did not. I don't know if it is comprehending the signs or if it's something in the mapping algorithm that is defining the no turn on red for FSD. But it is working and 13 could never figure it out. 14.2.1 is correct so far.

In my experience either FSD 4.2 now recognizes “no turn on red” signs or they’ve added that data to the map data.
