Just started today. When I open the charging port it is solid purple. Then when I plug it in it flashes amber when charging. Looking online it says that flashing amber is reduced charging but that’s not the case here. I’m getting full charge with no issues. Is there anything else this could be?

I noticed yesterday that mine is blue when I first plug it in then when it starts charging it no longer flashes green. The cybertruck logo goes dark and there is a little white light flashing just at the top of the plug. Still charges fine. It used to go from blue to flashing green. The white light flashes like the green used to fast when batt percent is lower.

Purple means your powersharing, but idk why it would show that while unplugged. Here's a full map of the colors:

A few have this issue, may just be a software bug. Otherwise the charge port LEDs or their controller have an issue.

I believe this is actually just an issue with the LED itself. charging is not an issue at all however this morning i went out to the truck to check on it and it being in sleep mode (charged to 80%) it would normally be a solid green color but the light was almost flickering an amber/red/yellow color as if the light is not functioning properly. I think the RGB is only RB at the moment haha.

I have a service request to have this fixed. I assume it will be an easy swap out of the light controller or possibly the led itself.

Probably the controller or software, schematic shows individual drives for the three LEDs. (Common return though).

I have the exact same issue. Just started happening recently. Tried two different chargers and issue remains. Only thing I did different is take it through a hands free wash. Hoping it is just software. Anyone get an explanation from a Tesla source?

White light is made by mixing all 3 primary RGB colors. You get purple from Red+Blue, so I would guess that the Green LED is not illuminating; it could be a software issue but I suspect it's a failure of the driver circuit or LED.

I was wondering why it seemed like the Cybertruck stopped getting 2025.2.8 - did this start being a problem immediately after people installed that update? If so, that would explain why trucks stopped getting it. And yeah, i was going to say that it looked like the green LED was dead. You would think all of the models would have the same charging port light code, but since the Cybertruck is the only vehicle with PowerShare (purple) it makes sense that it probably has some unique code around the LEDs at the charging port.

No Led failure. After it charged overnight it went back to normal green charging behavior.

Mine started acting up too. When I open it's blue but as soon as I plug in, it flashes blue but then goes dark - but charges fine. I'm guessing it’s a software issue. Anyone figure out the issue?

This exact thing happened to me while I was on a ski trip in Vermont. Temps were below 0 F. Also got the “Gearbox Fluid Service” alert. I went in for service yesterday (soonest appointment I could get) and they checked both, and the service summary and the technician both stated that it was due to the extreme cold affecting sensors and signaling an alert. Gearbox Fluid level was normal and charge port was functioning as normal. The only thing they actually serviced was securing the wiring harness, which was one of the service bulletins. So, most likely this is to be expected in cold temps.
