Was not given a cash option. I really don’t want this thing tho and trading it up for an Awd or beast is just not the smart financial thing to do. I am going to sell it, pay off my 4Runner and put some money down on a model y. I like the full self drive and the spacious cabin but there is not much else I like about this version of the Cybertruck so I think it’s best to get something that has those features and is also a sound financial decision.

I have had a few contacts about it and have also asked Tesla about it. So far the answer has been that I can’t do anything with it until Texas registers it and sends me the title.

That is true in TX. I couldn’t register my custom plates until receiving my hard tags.

I’m not a betting man, but if I was I’d say he’ll come through with that. He was sooooo close to buying one for $70K earlier this year (even placed an order), then decided it wasn’t worth it. Time to embrace the opportunity! It has everything that makes CT great: SbW/4WS.

I could easily live without the rear screen, smuggler’s bay, or adaptive air suspension. Buy a soft tonneau and an l-track and it’s about as good as any other CT, with even more range.

Since there is no tonneau mechanism, it would be great to be able to roll down the rear window.
to make a passthrough to allow getting air conditioning on hot days and on long trips
if you have groceries or pets in the bed of the truck or when camping in the bed at night.
Adding a camper roof would not be too difficult, and this would provide a large living space.

If I had a RWD it would 100% get a bed cap. Probably urander.
The aerodynamic impact is probably the same or less than driving around with an open vault.

They’ve been known to have quirks with their online trade in estimates in the past. Seems like they’re experiencing that again. Not trying to rain on your parade, but there’s no way they’re paying over MSRP for a used vehicle.

I won an online sweepstakes and won a Cybertruck. Turns out it is a 2026 RWD. Given all the things stripped out is it worth it to keep this thing? I kinda like it and feel like I want to keep it but it feels like so much is missing over an AWD version. I get that I got this for free so am I crazy for wanting more?

The contest rules were pretty clear it would be a base RWD at $39,900. You're getting much more tech at a higher price. If it were me I'd be ecstatic and extremely happy for this fortunate turn of events.
