Drove a Rivian today. Drove a Chevy, Ford. My thoughts.

Your comments are an Ad hominem.
Why can't you just accept that some people don't like what you like. You speak as if your reasons for buying a CT is somehow intellectually superior to others. " I don't know what buyers of non-Tesla EVs are smoking." Really dude? No one can make a different choice than yours without your harsh criticism about someone's character?
You still don't get it.

I am pointing out the different preferences others have. The fact that I can't understand them doesn't make me intellectually superior - you just made that up out of thin air. Don't get your ass too chapped, life is short.

I didn't say it was because you don't understand them. It's because you demean people who don't think like you do. Just look at the words you chose to describe people, and you should figure it out.
Chapped? Huh, yeah life is short. Good advice for you. Enjoy your CT.

Don't be so sensitive to other's opinions, it's just a term of speech to say I can't figure out what someone must be smoking to buy something I never would. It's almost like you think you are the language police to protect fragile egos. They are just words that describe what I'm thinking, man up and take them for what they actually mean, don't pretend to be all butt-hurt just because you think my opinion is demeaning. If you are happy with your choice that's fine with me, even if I don't understand it. If anything, taking offense at such comments makes me think you have very little conviction in your decision.

I hope this trend of fragility and being overly sensitive to others thoughts is starting to swing back the other way. I grew up in a time and place when it was understood not everyone would see things exactly the same and that a little honesty never hurt anyone and was never something to dwell on.

Misunderstanding caused by tip-toeing through the tulips (mincing words) has probably caused more problems than blunt honesty.

You have me all wrong buddy. I'm just saying to you, you don't need to insult people to explain why you like your CT. I didn't twist anything, I literally quoted you. Like I said before, I'm happy with my choice. You seem offended and defensive that someone pointed out you remarks. As I said before, you wouldn't like it if I came on here and you all Tesla or Elon fanboys, and if I did I would expect to get a lot of crap thrown back at me. I've been here respecting the CT space and I would expect to get the same back as a fellow fan of EV trucks.
There is no tiptoeing here with me, I've been as bluntly honest with you without being offensive. If you can't take someone calling you out on your negative comments, then maybe you shouldn't type them. I'm pretty sure I won't be the last to say something.

BTW, you are not the police of what truck people decide to purchase. Please don't be a hypocrite.

He’s a jerk, a toxic element here. There are others, claiming purity and honesty with their brutality, but this guy is the biggest ass-hat. Fanbois gotta fanboi.

Before I ordered my 2026 AWD CT, I test drove the Rivian many times and also the Gravity.

With the Rivian, I have no idea how/why people are spending six figures on those. Smaller vehicles, even with the suspension set to softest setting they drive very rough, and the seats are hard and uncomfortable. I just don't get the allure.

Now the Gravity was a much harder choice. The interior quality and the amazing massage seats in the Gravity kinda wreck the CT in that regard. It's a gorgeous vehicle inside and out. But I was surprised at the road noise. Me and my wife would rate the Gravity Grand Touring as actually a little louder at highway than the AWD CT.

The suspension is supple and great, Gravity drives extremely well. But we found the ride quality delta between the Gravity and CT in softest setting not as big of a difference as we'd imagined. Plus $7K for Dream Drive Pro and all it does is basically adaptive cruise control with lane centering right now. Our build came out to $120K.

With no FSD option and no off-road capability for $40K more than the AWD CT, the AWD CT was a no-brainer and IMO is a steal. I just wish the CT had more comfortable seats and longer range I'd easily pay $20K-$30K more.
