What is it? Where do I get one?
Just a fun little cheap Amazon toy but looks awesome off-road and while cornering .

Piece of nano tape keeps it from going anywhere.
I had a silver one I listed up earlier in this awesomely deep thread and was shopping around for a friend when I realized they now do them in blue and yellow. For anyone who might not already know, my truck is…well…blue.

These jumped into my Amazon feed and while I was aware of the vents or rather how exposed they are I just figured yeah I don’t have kids but younger kids of relations do ride in my truck so on the off event that something could fall down in there I decided I really needed these.

Screen covers for the floor vents in the back.

And I realize even with the HEPA filter, they may accumulate dust on the reverse, but that can be vacuumed out.

Not the easiest thing to get pics of. Yes, it seems very high quality. doesn't slide around at all, but that's probably due to where it sits. As I said I'm not using the upper piece. That may slide. if you get one you should try to decrease it as much as possible before putting it in. This went through half a California summer and still has some crease.

So I like your approach and it looks quite cool but wanted to suggest an alternate approach I used the two visors that go above the visors to over up my dash material. They sit fla to. Either side of the Starlink, are completely invisible, to no extra room to store and are available to use in the top of the window any time you want in one or both sides.

I have had these for a long time now. I think I got mine from Temu though. Most likely the same ones.

My fear for not having these is not dust, but debris...like rolling marbles or candy, like Nerds, or sand, or gravel, or crushed Cheetos, any other type of kid snack getting kicked into the floor vent and not having any way to clean it out. These seem necessary.

I tried to be as clear I could in the prompt without being impolite but just to reiterate, “accessories we have never seen before” means not for sponsors and pro YouTube reviewers to shill on. No paid reviews. Nothing like that
It’s supposed to be a space free of all that and many of us like having that on one tiny corner of CTOC.

I have these too and they fit surprisingly well without the tape once you lay the OEM all weather mats in as well. I decided to keep mine that way so I can periodically take them out and give them a rinse.

ive done floor vent covers for all five of my Teslas when I read years ago of a person dealing with a twig or rock caught in the under floor vent system
virtually nothing you can do once something drops in there
vent covers are profound, cheap preventative measures

Don’t know if you guys like to keep fidget toys in the car but I do. This one is a hit with the kids and is especially entertaining while off-roading . I know some of you have fairly starship forward themes so maybe you’ll dig it too?

Need usb out somewhere in the truck that it’s not present in? Frunk, vault, smugglers bay etc?
This thing can be wired directly to 48v apparently.

This was mentioned on this forum a while back but here is my setup for the trip between winter and summer homes. The containers are sealed and are much more weather resistant than just the tonneau cover. On the plus side, the smuggler's bay is still accessible when the bins are fully loaded. I reserve the back of the vault for things I use on the road like coolers and cleaning products to spruce up the beast at charging stops. I also fold up the back seats and fill it with other important stuff.

I tried one like this. Took it off after about a week. The side trays get in the way of my leg too much, I have plenty of other storage solutions and the side trays are not needed (for me). That space is better needed for leg room.
Need one with just the front tray with a phone holder there like the ones from the newer BMWs.

What are you using to power it?
I have a dedicated battery bank have under the screen.

My longest drive is about 6 hours and it's enough to go one way. I charge it when I leave the vehicle and then I'm good for another 6 hours back.

You could always use one of these and save yourself the hassle. I bought that exact one and it powers my skylight thingy.
If you have any issues just unplug it but I have had zero and the car has been in for service multiple times with it installed. Not a word from Tesla.
