That number should be only those with the lightbar installed (plus probably lightbars picked up by owners without installation).
Yeah, that’s what I was thinking. You think there’s 1000+ people that haven’t picked them up/haven’t been offered them yet?

I've seen many people saying they are still waiting, but statistics is not my forte.
For reference, recall said 619 warranty claims (some people had more than one failure).

I would imagine most people with Beasts have FS. The wait for non-FS made less sense in the trim because the lack of tax rebate, and now with the luxe package, the Beast is nearly the same cost it was day one. I am sure there are some people who had a friend show them a Beast, finished paying their other car loans, etc. that got Beasts after the FS closed, but this has to be pretty close to the number of total Beasts. With the other recall showing total number of CTs recently, that means around 15% of all CTs on the road are Beasts.

I have a beast, and every appointment to get it installed they have canceled.

FS Beast, Still no ETA on when I can get it. In fact, I would say this is the case for many. My SC said they have only done a handful and usually had problems.

We can deduce that the lowest number of Cyberbeasts produced was 6,200. We also know that not all Beast owners opted to get the light bar. We don't know that number. Plus, we don't know if ALL Beasts that COULD still get the light or have it already are included in the 6,200 or if that's just the number actually installed on Beasts right now.

We also don't know the ratio of Beasts to non-beasts so we can't back our way into that figure.

Something I don't know - is the light being offered to NEW Beast buyers or is it limited to Foundation Series vehicles?

Aside from the numbers game, I wonder how Tesla will fix the issue. Will they redesign the light to use the forward roof mounts, some other hard mount option (Cant rail attach point, newly drilled holes, etc.), or a yet even better adhesive?

I haven't had issues with my light yet, but it hasn't been installed THAT long yet. (4 weeks today)

I went to law school so I didn’t have to do math. You might have to explain this to me. ? It’s really the arrow that’s throwing me, I’m assuming now that that’s original and not yours?

Somewhere on the order of 7000?

OK, yah lost me there. It's an included accessory with ~$2,500 value you can pick up without installation and resell...
or get store credit for something else instead of taking a light bar? I'm not sure but that's what I was thinking. If that wasn't an option, they you are correct. Not many people would just not at least pick it up to resell it...

No there were a few people that were talking about that and we had a discussion way back but that was never an option. You got it as part of the foundation series purchase price and the only question that never really got answered is whether it was ever going to be sold to foundation series AWD’s or as you mentioned above whether non-foundation series CB purchasers would get it or the option to buy it.

I don’t think we know this still.

Okay. My lightbar is firmly attached and with the new primer so I'm probably in the "just need two brackets" camp. Hopefully, they look decent. Wondering if they'll use the roof attach points (3o minute appointment!) or Cant rail attachment points somehow. The advantage of the Cant rail bracket fix is that it frees up the roof attachment points.

Yeah, it won’t be a 30 minute process for me if it’s the roof attachment. I/they would have to remove my rooftop tent and then my rack and then depending on their design it may not be compatible with my rack going back on so could be multiple hours to infinity! Beyond that:

(1) I won’t even consider it until I see what it looks like.

(2) I probably won’t do it even then just because of the amount of hassle that would cause for a problem that I don’t currently have. Mine has never come off even when it started lifting on one corner it was solid on the other side and my reinstall has been issue free.

(3) If they’re doing some kind of reach around to the cantrails then, that’s not happening! That’s a no touching zone!

Duly noted. @dalton108 prefers no cantrail reach-around.

Maybe it's a flat bracket that won't interfere with the roof rack somehow and they can just lift your tent with a lift a bit to slide in the new bracket.

LEO has been trained to not let anybody touch his cantrails! No-no zone!
Nobody but Mom, Dad and the Service center is allowed to touch there…
Boy, that’s always a fun conversation.
