Hi folks wanted to get thoughts on the forum. I recently purchased a "new" Tesla OEM lightbar on eBay sold as new. I am prepping to install and notice all these jagged edges on the plastic in the front I notify seller and he tells me they are ALL like that. I'm shocked that Tesla would install so many lightbars with all these scuffed edges in front and bottom. Anyone have experience with this? Does everyone lightbar have a scuffed edge on the front and back? I believe eBay would guarantee me refund given it looks damaged to me thank you

Hmmm...The story is he is acquiring all these lightbars from a local Tesla Cybertruck car club in Texas of people that don't want it. He says they all look like that. Fortunately he has agreed to refund the item. I did not remove any stickers nothing so I can get the refund he states. "Caveat emptor" folks.

If you have a local Tesla shop nearby, take it to the service department and they’ll be able to tell. Based on the fact he was willing to take it back, I’m guessing it’s a knockoff but who knows. Hope you find one soon!

It was never installed but had a tiny chip in the underside plastic: $1,500 shipped.

I got mine installed about three weeks ago at the SC…..no scuff marks at all. Did the lens still have the black tape? Could be one which was damaged in shipment or defective.

Really wish we could just buy these from Tesla and have them installed, the CT has been out long enough.

I paid $1200 with local pickup from a forum member for one that had been installed and became detached but was other wise in great shape. It did require removing the old adhesive.
Just trying to provide another data point.

I saw that same eBay auction and took a hard pass - too many chips and scuffs. Looks well used or just beat up.
