Keep a fridge there (heard turns off during ac level 2 charging which is all day at work
And at night at home!) wondering how ro get this to work (have a bougerv cipro30 if that helps).

My understanding is that anytime an AC cable is connected to the truck, the cybertruck shuts off its AC power.

I get around this by using the 48 volt accessory feeds. One is to the frunk and the other is to the roof. I ran the roof accessory feed to the truck bed.

In either or both of the frunk or trunk I power a Bluetti solar battery/converter (I really don’t know why these things are called “solar generators” as they are really just batteries with cool inverters).
But I power a Bluetti using the accessory feed(s) and then use the Bluetti to power a fridge or fridges.

Or I skip the Bluetti and then use a Buck converter to power a fridge from the 48 volt accessory feeds.

But the Bluettis ensure that my fridge(s) keep(s) running whenever I want them (it) to be running, regardless of the CT’s connection to a charging cable or not.

I keep a Dometic large CFX3 100 full fridge/cooler in the back always. We use it for groceries every week, it holds a LOT also. It's nice cause we just plug it in, tell the outlets to stay on and it drops from like 90 to 35 or so in no time. It also has bluetooth and an app to turn on/off from the cabin or adjust temp remotely.

The great thing is the fit though. It its big and the tonneau cover even when its all the way against the tailgate where its the lowest does not hit it at all. They are pricey but they last a LONG time and actually cool down or freeze fast if you want. Built solid.

How’s the power consumption?

You can now get the USB’s to stay on full time even when level 2 charging thanks to a software update that addressed the concern.
So something like an Anker c300 dc would be ideal if you needed continuous power inside the cabin.

Frunk and roof feeds also an option. As my friend pointed out, the ideal way to use the frunk feed is a power station that has a solar input under 400w.

Hey this helpful to
Know. So does that mean if i have a usb c to 12volt adapter that can power the fridge since it charges with 12volt?

also im kind of dumb. How does that anker c300dc work and is there a way to power it to power the fridge in the vault rather than in the cabin?

It's very easy with a universal 12v.

Get a basic maintainer and plug that into the 120v in the bed. Next, get a 30-50W solar maintainer from Amazon and mount the little thing somewhere. Dash works fine or you can put it on cross bars or something.

Connect it all to the battery. Then wire in your fridge to the load of the solar controller. About $200 and you can use it for whatever 12v stuff you want.

This is what I do so I don't have to worry about the truck being parked and running the inverter all the time.

I'll get you a shopping list, stand by.

Solar, $60 https://amzn.to/3HORiDd
Battery terminals https://amzn.to/4kBa8MQ
Grab a battery from Walmart
Maintainer $50 https://www.harborfreight.com/autom...ocessor-controlled-battery-charger-56796.html
Stick it all in a $20 box: https://www.target.com/p/easy-assembly-hard-sided-bins-black-bellyband-brightroom-8482/-/A-89835994

Yeah, then just connect what you want. Relay box for lights, fridge, winch, whatever

So a usb-c to 12v is generally not high powered enough to run a fridge (maybe in some circumstances I’m unaware of) but the c-300dc provides a legit 12v 10amp supply.
It can charge off of two usb-ports so no energy imbalance there. Functionally just a fancy voltage regulator.
In the vault you have better options. Just rapid charge a power station off the outlet bed when the truck is running and then run the fridge off that when you’re away. Or get a fridge with built in battery like an Acopower lion cooler mini or an Ecoflow glacier series. You can use the “leave outlets on” if you don't have that as long as you’re not level 2 charging but that is highly inefficient. Burns miles to leave that big inverter on.

This is awesome. Is the wiring challenging? I may take this

Got it will the power station linked above work for the bed as well or that only charges of usbc? Is there a specific size battery needed for the fridge to run?

So if you do this then even when on level 2 charging the fridge works? also how involved is tapping into the accessory feeds and running it to the vault?

I keep an Ecoflow delta 2 max in my vault for other reasons. Probably overkill for just a fridge.
does this run even when level 2 charging?
Not without a battery

A lot of detail was discussed in this thread

In the avionics field working on fighter aircraft, one of our shops was nicknamed “two wires” because their equipment was essentially controlled by two wires. (Their equipment could be fixed by the least technically competent technicians with less than a day of training.)

The hardest part of running the 2-wire feed from the roof to the bed is fishing it around the tonneau cover in the gunwhale of the truck’s frame. If you have the slightest ability or desire to learn you could easily accomplish it.
