Today was the first time charging my CT at home and it’s refusing to charge at 48a. In the charging settings I have it set to 48a but once I plug in it automatically drops and charges at 24a.

Anybody had this issue? Could it be beac it’s the first charge? I have a model Y and never had this issue. I’ve tried everything I could to troubleshoot. TIA

Are you using a Tesla wall connector or other? Some wall units allow you to limit the Amps via an app, that said it is odd that the 24A in your truck app does not have a right arrow, assume you have trie din the app and in the truck screen?

I'd keep a very close eye on this. I've seen numerous posts about Cybertrucks not charging. Unless your plug is overheating there is no reason why it should be down rating that. Given all the other charging issues I've seen if I were you I may even contact Tesla immediately

What gen wall connector? What amp breaker is the wall connector connected to? Have you tried the scroll wheel reset?

what amp breakers are you connected to and are you using the supplied charger? That one only charges at 32max amps. The charger supplied automatically adapts to what you are plugged into.

Whatever you are connecting the Cybertruck to says that it only can charge at 24A. That's what the second 24A (in 24A/24A) stands for.
And it's charging at that advertised speed at full tilt, 24A @243V.

I’ve tried scroll wheel reset. I tired the new gen wall connector and the previous from my model Y. Contacted service, let’s see if they can figure it out.

That means it's reading the resistance of the EVSE signal loop incorrectly. That's... An interesting error. At least you can charge!

I hope they get a fix for you soon.

Okay, so you are using the wall connector. Odds are that you have it set incorrectly, assuming that the circuit supports higher

How else would he set it? The options above 24A clearly don't exist from the screenshot of the app.

All I see is s screenshot of the vehicle app, not the wall connector.
Since it says /24A, that's an indication of the wall connector, not the truck.

OP has a model Y, and says this issue has never occurred, implying that the wall connector has already been set to the correct current limit.

Plug into model Y, charging above 24A exists in the app
Plug into CT, charging above 24A does not exist in the app.

The wall connector current limit doesn't just change on its own. The process for changing it is quite convoluted.

It's not that convoluted. As the vehicle determines that there is something connected, it starts talking to the EVSE. The EVSE then indicates the maximum values that it can provide and the irght number in the charging rate is negotiated.
Once charging starts, the vehicle will monitor the voltage and if it drops too much, limit the current, as seen in the right side of the rate.

I mean it's convoluted to expect that OP could have accidentally changed the charge limit of the charger itself between when it worked on his model Y and now. It's not just something he could change in the app. Works on model Y and not on CT (above 24A) means that the charger does have a higher limit set than 24A.
