Candidly, was a bit disappointed in that being a towing test. Don’t get me wrong, any bit helps. But, I’d like to see more mileage and breakdown of speeds. E.g., 100 miles at 55; 100 miles at 60; 100 miles at 65. The lower distances seem too impacted by the start stop, getting onto ramp, doing turnarounds, etc. to get truly reliable reads because of extrapolation.

Sorry, that misses the point. Towing at 30 is different than 80. As someone who wants to be able to use the truck to tow a couple times a year for more than a couple hundred miles, I’d like to see a graph or table of how much range comes back the slower you tow. Realistically, not going to go under 55, but heck, if it meant being able to conceivably make a few stretches that may otherwise be impossible going from TX to CO, then yeah, I’d do it.

@OIIIIIIIO - now I know what you have been doing (starting new -ve threads)! Ain’t gonna happen my friend.

I just read through all your past messages - if you don’t like range, price, specs, design, etc. about CT, and if you think Tesla is going to completely unplug from CT, then I’m trying hard to understand your purpose here. All voices are welcome, but if you don’t like anything about CT, then you are just trolling in a CT forum!

Probably 100 miles only for the first leg, subsequent legs would be 80+ miles per charge because 80% rule.
Also his max speed was only 55mph, so expect less than that at 60-75mph highway trips.

I don’t have mine yet, so I can’t confidently say this, but other tests have shown 65-70 and getting 100. This underscores my point on creating a better data table. Nobody expects it to be good. But one should be able to reasonably navigate a set of conditions without just hoping.

Just discussing the facts. Thats the whole point of a forum.

I suspect that it's going to follow the same rules that impact the other vehicles. For every 5 mph over 55 mph, you can expect a 10% decrease in range.

So you should be able to go significantly faster and have no problems with the current 50 mile Supercharger spacing.

Honestly, if you need to tow any significant weight, the GM trucks seem to be better options (Silverado EV, Sierra EV). You'd lose out on some great features IMO but you'll gain quite a bit of towing range. See silverado EV videos.

For me, towing is not in the plans so I'd rather get a CT: great software, OTA updates with significant additions for years to come, autopilot/FSD, SS exterior, steer-by-wire.

Some of the earlier tests at 60, 65 and 70 showed similar range. Trying to figure out what’s causing the inconsistencies.

50 mile supercharging isn’t the case in a lot of places. Driving Dallas to Colorado has many stretches much more than that. Almost triple that.
