I was under the impression the software limited it ??‍♂ all I know is I got mine installed today! You can turn it on and off in regular drive modes. I thought you had to be in off road mode.

I believe originally it was only available in offroad mode. Might have been a software change.
No, nothing different between the AWD and Cyberbeast for it. There is a software recognition for the OEM unit once installed. I'm not sure if the aftermarket ones are just on/off or if there are additional features for them as well.
