Got my CT wrapped about a month ago with @CybertruckWraps' metallic PPF Prism Black and I love it. I thought I got a lot of looks before, but boy I feel famous in it now lol...
That being said, it did not come without a price. You have to have a certain authorized dealer from the website that can do it, fortunately for me there was a local one only about 45 min from me. It took him about 3 days. However, on the 3rd day I got a call from him telling me he could not get the frunk closed. I didn't think it was that big of a deal. I googled some tips for him to try, also looked in this forum and found a couple of things and sent to him but to no avail. There was no error message popping up, the frunk would simply just not latch all the way which prevented me from being able to drive it faster than 15 mph due to some built in safety issue. Not only was the wrap expert not able to do the last finishing touches on it, but I had to have it towed to the SC on a Thursday after hours, which meant I would not be getting it back till at least Monday, and had to drive my gfs' Nissan Sentra 5 hours for work that evening and 5 hours back 2 days later. I was falling asleep on multiple occasions the night I drove out of town with her Sentra. I was blessed to make it there without an accident by like 1 am.
They replaced the latch that following Monday, only to find out it wasn't just the latch, it was also a wiring harness issue. Mind you there were no alerts the whole time that something was wrong. Finally a week after that (due to staff shortage in my nearest local SC), I finally got my truck back, only to have to take it back to the body shop so they could finish the final touches on the wrap, which luckily only took a few hours.
I was also very disappointed to find out he did not offer me any type of discount for all that trouble. I know there was no way of proving him or his crew did anything, but what are the odds that under his service and supervision it happened? He claimed they had done a couple of other CTs and that nothing happened with those and that they followed the same protocol. I had asked him what the prepping process was for the wrap on a CT, he mentioned that they remove the fender flares and the side mirrors. That means wiring is exposed during the process, and I wonder if something happened during that time to the wiring harness involving the frunk latch, etc.
Anyways, it cost me $4500 overall. $1700 for the wrap and $2800 for the labor. CT was still under warranty so the latch problem was at no cost thank God.
No I did not bother to tip. 3-4 weeks later I noticed a couple of air bubbles in the rear panel on the liftgate after a car wash. Hit him up about it and he just said to come by whenever and he'll get them out real quick, but I haven't had time to go by yet.
