NYC city gets worse after the communist mayor took the office from the new year. On the way there last night, a guy in Tacoma honked and gave me a finger for no reason! This is the second since I had my CT 1.5 years ago and the first one is also in NYC on the way to JFK.

After parked in an open municipal parking lot for about 2 hours, my windshield wiper was broken into pieces! It was raining very hard, I still had to drop my love one at JFK, then came home without the wiper in the raining night. For about 2 hours, I purely relied on FSD, since I barely could see anything. Thanks Elon!

I checked the dashcam clips, people and cars passed by all the time, but it didn’t catch the guy doing that. That position is a blind spot and I remember someone got similar vandalism at an airport parking lot, also caught nothing!

Interesting that it didn’t catch it, usually there is an hour loop of continuous video in the dash cam.

So not looking forward to visiting major cities on my huge summer road trip. I'm sorry this happened to you. :(

You were able to disable wipers and FSD still ran? Didn't force them to wipe like it used to? This is actually a fear of mine.

Once you start FSD, wipe is “automatic”. Press the wiper button above the right scroll ball, choose “off” on the screen. Annoying is that each time you activate FSD, you have to do it again.

Are you thanking Elon for the FSD or “thanking” Elon for making so many people hate and vandalize our vehicles.

I think about this often. Because of Elon, I have to waste kWhs daily running sentry in my driveway. Been spit on and keyed.

Then most of the year, I waste kWhs additionally every day with cabin overheat protection. So my interior doesn’t off-gas and mess up my cameras. (4 other Teslas, no issue, different materials apparently)

Ironic that I waste 5-10kWh many days because of bad decisions from this green company.

So it's Tesla's fault, that a sub-section of our society thinks its ok to vandalize an un-related persons personal property because of the CEO's. words and how he chooses to spend his money.

Oh, the media is hugely at fault also, but that's hundreds of people that had a minor part in it. One person decided to get deeply involved in politics, and even joined the government, while running a company. As a shareholder, this makes me mad. As a Cybertruck owner is also makes me mad, I have to run sentry and be worried about people thinking my vehicle is a political statement.

One person could have just quietly sent money and gotten what he wanted, and this would have been avoided.

I thank Elon for FSD and I thank ELON for doing the right thing with DOGE and Free Speech. Freedom always carries a price.

I'm the other guy this happened to at an airport. Someone ripped off my wiper and senty didn't catch it.

I think the problem is most CEOs have the emotional intelligence and social intelligence to understand their actions can have a negative impact on their sales and customers. This is why the vast majority of executives are very reserved and non-offensive in their public personas.

Like him or hate him, Elon's actions have had both good and negative impacts on all of us. It could have easily been 100% good, if he was just a quiet CEO that did his job. Instead some of his actions have painted targets on our backs. For me, and OP here, it cost us grief, stress and $75 to replace a wiper. (assuming OPs wiper arm was not damaged, otherwise it will be more expensive)

Like I said, Freedom is not free. Just worth the cost.

You don't pay for something at the expense of others. That would be like saying you are willing to sacrifice your family for your freedom. I have no issue with people taking action for what they believe in, as long as they are only putting themselves on the line.

What Elon does is different. Some of his actions hurt his company's sales, and his existing customers. I would also argue that his actions have not increased or persevered any of my freedoms. Posting rage bait and conspiracy theories on a website he bought is not advancing freedom.

This is about mental illness, not Elon's decisions. I was looking at all the ICE vehicles in the news, all Chevy Tahoes. Why are these folks not going ape on GM or vandalizing every Chevy Tahoe? Then I realized it is foolish to try to figure the motivations of mentally ill people who think its smart to ruin other people's property or wear gas masks in the street. Pointless. Just enjoy the truck and know that it is polarizing and most people are just jealous of what they can never afford.

What do you think? Without the FSD, there is no way I could send my wife to the airport and return home safely!
You sent your wife to the airport and it returned on it's own? What version FSD are you on?
