Hey folks

A customer recently wrapped his Cybertruck with our DIY kit in Matte Black Phantom Blue PPF and sent me some photos & videos, which I wanted to share This is a truly special color shifting PPF. In most angles/lighting it looks like matte black, until the light hits it at the right angle when you can see a shade of dark blue. The effect is also emphasized when wet.

This is 8mil PPF, TPU based, self healing and non fading. The cut pattern is developed by me using my own CT and iterating over and over when wrapping customer CTs to achieve perfection and ease of installation (especially the edge wrapping).

We’ve had one winter with our wrapped CT, went to Tahoe several times - 0 issues.

Pretty much everyone succeeds. Notice a few things:
1. Each roll is about 590" long. The CT wrap takes about 470" length. The remaining 120" we keep for 30 days after delivery in case you need replacements - those we can provide for free and you only cover the cost of shipping. To give you an idea, in 120" length you can fit any single panel, and depending on the panels in some cases we can fit 2-3 panels if they are smaller.
2. We offer DIY insurance which covers one replacement of all pieces that were messed up beyond repair after sending photographic proof.

I am trying to wrap it with something like Satin Dark Gray PPF, and I live in the East Bay Area.

After I pick up my CT, I would contact you to see if you could help do a professional installation (PPF wrap) at your facility. How long does it usually take to schedule an installation?

Sounds great, congratulations on the upcoming delivery!!!
Notice that it takes about 10-14 days to receive the PPF roll once you place an order. So basically as soon as you place an order we can do tentative install date for about 2 weeks or so ahead, which will be confirmed closer to the delivery of the film.
PS Notice we now partner with a shop in Concord - they do the installations for us (they are 5* rated on Google).

You can just place an order via our website (select color and enable the Pro Install option - you will NOT be charged for the labor at the time of placing the order). Then I will reach out to you, usually within a few hours, to schedule installation (tentative as there's a bit of unpredictability in deliveries for the past few months... sometimes they come in 10-11 days, other times in 13-14 days ??‍). When we have a clear delivery date, I will re-confirm with you and the shop and we can either send the wrap directly to the shop or if you prefer we can send it to you and you take it to the shop (the box fits in the CT bed, tested more times than I can count ).

This looks A LOT like Matte Lead Ink Gray. We've done a bunch of those.

PS Pretty sure I have leftovers from this color, if you want to see it in person feel free to swing by our factory in Concord so you can see it in person, just give me a heads up to bring it as it's possible that it's at home (I tend to use the unclaimed leftovers for prototyping new wraps).
