I'm curious and I asked him in the youtube comments if their was anything noticeable with the motors or powertrain or something else that might be the reason its motor and powertrain noise is louder than other teslas and EVs. Wondering if anyone has any thoughts, after watching the video on it. I'd be very interested to know if you don't mind sharing it.

My guess is they just added less noise dampening to keep the sound.

It looks physically bigger, and hence, would make more sound.

The stiffer body would also transmit more sound.

Damn, you make me feel better about being 216,000 in line. I'm hoping to get mine by the end of this year. Provided ramp up proceeds to 200,000/year by the end of 2024, you should be hearing from Elon by early 2027? God, that's a long way off. But I assure you, it'll be worth it. I can't assure you of any delivery date (it's not like I'm Elon or anything), but one can hope. It's only going to get better as you wait.
