I know this is an older thread, but I’m trying to figure out how to camp with my family of 4. Do you just have the front Mars rack so that you can use the cyber tent in the bed?
I’d like to retain some bed storage. Has anyone done a platform like the cyber tent using the L track or some kind of brackets and then just put a Rev or similar on it?

want to fit 2 adults and 2 kids in 2 tents, preferably retaining some vault storage.
You can either go with a four-person tent like this,

or sleep two on top and two in the truck bed.
With our upcoming enclosed bed cap, an enclosed bunk bed setup will also be possible.

Here's another camping setup from one of our creative customers, who mounted a water tank for cooking and showers and turned it into a bunk bed - perfect for a family!

What’s the setup for two in the top and two in the bed? What tent are they using in those photos for the bunk beds?

If you prefer a cleaner, less dusty camping setup, I’d recommend our bed cap with our upcoming Z Tent.

We’ll be showcasing this setup at XTakeover on July 26 in San Mateo. Come check it out in person ?

Can you please link me to this person’s post or the thread so I can message him about his setup?

Crafted from high strength automotive grade 5052 aluminum, the rack supports up to 400 lbs on the road and 800 lbs when parked. Whether you’re navigating rough trails or parked under the stars, it stays rock-solid.

Here's his IG and he got the air cruiser tent too

Personally, I wouldn’t recommend this air cruiser tent - it is a bit too tall when close and creates a lot of air drag on top of the rack. Any other tent can also be set up as a bunk bed if you mount it at the front of the rack. Just my two cents!

Here's another video so you can see what the Air Cruiser tent looks like when it's closed.
I have video for this tent unboxing. (In Mandarin)

It is good for two adults. The highlight of this tent is. It has the highest headroom in the rooftop tent market.

But the video was last month. I set it up in the other (default) direction.

Just catching up on this thread. The Air Cruiser is 10" packed and the Sky Lounge is 9.8", so that 0.2" difference is negligible for drag/range. What matters more is frontal area. A 38"-wide unit versus a 52"-wide one presents ~34% more face to the wind, which can translate to roughly ~3% higher energy use over ~500 motorway miles (speed, wind, racks and mounting position all play a role).
Bottom line: I wouldn’t use that tiny height difference—or even the aero delta—as the deciding factor. I’d compare weight, setup time, interior space, noise, durability, mounting footprint, and after-sales support. Hardshells are sleek when closed; soft shells have their own advantages too. Horses for courses. And for what it’s worth—we really like the look of your new RTT!
