They named their soccer team “The Cybertrucks”

Since we Cybertruck owners could all use a feel good story right about now, here’s a good one!

Tonight I had dinner party, which in the Austin Tech scene is pretty much a networking event. One of my kid’s friends’ dads is a manufacturing lead at Giga Texas and I told him I had a Cybertruck.

He suddenly was like, “Wait, you’re the one driving the Cybertruck to the school? They named their soccer team ‘The Cybertrucks’ after you!”

A few weeks ago I picked up my son from school during a soccer game and kids started cheering and waiving me to park closer. Tonight it finally made sense because I was driving the team mascot.

Btw, the Cybertruck and Tesla are currently celebrated in Austin. People give me thumbs ups, no flipping me the bird and definitely no butt wipes.

Haha that’s awesome! Of course now you kind of have to give the whole team a ride in the bed and let them use the truck for team picture day and whatnot.

Dallas is pretty good, just a little bit of hate occasionally. If they get Cybercab running this summer I’ll make the trip down the Austin to check those out.
