For seemingly no reason. Heading to South Carolina today so I wanted to charge to 100% but it stopped at 82%. Tried to restart in the truck and on the phone. No response when trying to restart charging inside the truck but on the phone it says charging fail already requested... Not exact words but cost.
So... WTF šŸ˜’

don't know if your wall connector has a schedule on it or not. Those are separate from the cars schedule and commands. I have had the same thing happen to me. If you have a schedule for the wall connector you need to go into the home tell it to start charging from there. Its always bugged me You setup a schedule for your home but the cars do not honor it. IF I do anything outside the schedule, I go to the home page where the wall connectors are to start charging there. Note once you start charging there it will not reset to the schedule unless you unplug car and plug it back in.

Do you have a 21 year old son with a 2018 Model 3?

If not that, did you sign up with a EV power management company like Weavegrid? I did and it stops and starts charging without my permission sometimes. It’s to help the grid, but if I’m asleep I can’t override it.

Lol no no children no reported the effects are issues with the truck I think one of the recent updates turned that charger scheduling on I never use it and I'm able was able to charge at any time of the day but I haven't been driving as much so I didn't need the charge outside of my usual schedule

I had a similar error. At first my charging ability was limited to 24A at home.
Still able to charge at a Supercharger.
Made an appt with service center, it was a couple weeks out. Then when traveling out of town, I could not charge at all. I was mobile charging at 24A, I was over 70% when it stopped and I received an error ā€œfailed, can’t charge using ACā€.
The national tesla number said that I should be able to charge at a Supercharger. The closest one at 70 miles away. That didn’t work, I didn’t make it home. Had to get it towed to the service center.
It required a PCS2 replacement.
My advise is don’t delay if the problem gets worse, and keep a high SOC.

I think D101010 nailed it. It had to be the charger schedule changed from an update.
