Hey all, I'm one of the recipients of the Teslaunch seat cover giveaway. I wanted to share my experiences with these white Nappa leather seat covers on our pink Cybertruck.
I've been living with these seat covers for over a week now and I'd like to address a few points:
1. Fitment: I've seen some of these installed from other companies and the fit has been all over the place. What I discovered when installing these is that your success in getting a factory looking fit really rides on your ability to tuck the edges into the seat, especially in the back seat. The installation process is straightforward but your effort here is what really makes the difference. Don't skimp.
2. Style: After having these installed for a while I must say that they look and feel as close as possible to factory, and I forget sometimes that they are covers. There are a few brands making these now, at least one or two with the "Cybertruck" script on the seat backs - to me, they scream "aftermarket" and I much prefer this style from Teslaunch.
3. Livability: My biggest concern was ingress/egress from the truck and how that would tweak the seat covers. Other than having to tighten the front seat bottoms a little bit, I can confidently say that they don't move around when you get in and out of the truck. What mostly holds the front seat bottoms steady is a plastic clip that connects to a rod underneath the seat base covering. It took some fiddling to get it clipped in place but once I did it held in place nicely.
4. Feel: Maybe an unpopular opinion here but I miss Tesla's leather seats. Their current synthetic seat covering material is not my favorite so I was excited to try a leather seat cover. These covers are softer and more pliable than the material the truck comes with. My family and I really like the feel!
