I am installing a swivel mount to my 2926 AWD CT.
Instructions are to power off the screen so it can be unplugged. I did that but if I accidentally touch the screen it comes back on.
How is the screen powered down so it only comes back on by pushing the brake pedal?
I'm not referring to "cleaning" mode.

OK. I figured it out. Ya have to let it sit, untouched for about ten seconds, then it will stay off until ya push the brake pedal.

I installed a swivel mount today as well. After powering off, I found the wrench that came with the kit from Hansshow was too small for the 10mm original mounting bolts. I opened the door and screen came on. So all tools needed have to be in vehicle, and you can’t open a door to lay on floor under dash to line up holes. I was careful not to touch brake pedal while disconnected. When done, the brake pedal didn’t turn it back on. Opened door, and all good.

I didn’t try powering it down with door open, but there must be a way for techs to work on these, remaining off, and be able to get out as needed.

I wasn’t happy with the screen lowered an inch and a half, so instead of mounting screen the mount ears on bottom of swivel bracket, I removed the plastic rear screen mount cover and mounted screen on top of the swivel bracket. Machine screws should be pointing downward anyway. This raises screen about an inch, unnoticeable height change.

If raising screen more is desired, washers or spacers can be added to raise or level screen as desired. I would rather have no plastic cover on rear of screen than have it too low. It takes your eyes farther off the road. As long as you have full thread engagement through swivel bracket, (machine screws threaded through bracket thickness) you can raise it as far as the length of machine screws allow, or use longer screws with spacers.

If I could have exited truck, I would have painted rear screen mount flat black. Very happy with the swivel mount with this modification.

Ever since day 1, I haven’t ever been able to power down the CT as I can with my MS. Not sure why they haven’t addressed this yet via a software update.
