My 2018 Raptor with a Supercab (no longer offered) only had around 320 miles of range on a full tank. In my opinion, it was a better off road vehicle than the Crewcab model due to its shorter length but definitely suffered with 'range' due to the smaller fuel tank. I don't take my Lightning off road but it is a great work truck (far better than the Raptor). I'd imagine that the Cybertruck will be great at both. My only question is the size of the frunk. I think I should be able to store my tool belt and PPE in there along with some electronics with no issue but am unsure of a lunch bucket will fit too.

While the frunk does have obvious limitations, it's bigger than it looks (7.1 cu. ft.). Even though the frunk of the lightning is almost twice the total volume (14.1 cu. ft.), I can fit a crap-ton of tools in the Cybertruck's frunk including my trusty Stihl 026 with a 20" bar in a large rectangular Echo hard case that has room for fuel and oil, extra bar, extra chain, basic chainsaw tools including bar oil. At the same time it holds my Husqvarna electric chainsaw with 18" bar in a soft case, two batteries, battery charger, and saw tools. In addition it holds my Milwaukee PowerAxe limbing saw with spare batteries, spare chain and charger. There is also room for 100' of 5/8" Kevlar line, other rigging ropes, strapping and soft shackles, gloves, etc.

What I've found with frunks is increasing the size does not increase utility in proportion to the increase in size. What's most important (for me) is useability. I need to be able to conveniently get to stuff I might need to do the job. Things I probably won't use I leave in the smuggler's compartment under the bed, things like my tire repair kit, recovery rope, compressor, shovel, etc.

The wide width of the frunk means it will fit longer items, up to 55" wide. The Lightning's frunk is at least a half-foot narrower. They are both about 16" tall, although the lightning might have about an inch on the Cybertuck and the height of the Cybertruck's frunk tapers lower in the front, down to about 12.5"-13". The big difference comes in the depth with the Cybertruck only about 15" deep in the center, while the Lightning is at least 22" deep. However, the Cybertruck's frunk is rated to 440 lbs. while the Lightning's frunk is limited to 400 lbs.

I really like the low loading height of the Cybertruck's frunk and I've never had anything fall out when I open it, even though I often have plenty of suff up there.

Is that your rectangular lunch bucket in the Lightning's frunk? It looks like it would fit in the Cybertruck, but I would need the dimensions to be certain.

Based on your description is seems like there is a chance it might fit. If not I guess I’ll need to find a Cyber sized lunchbox.

Based on your description is seems like there is a chance it might fit. If not I guess I’ll need to find a Cyber sized lunchbox.
