Tesla Cybertruck Officially crossed 30,000 miles in my Cyberbeast today IMG_7029
Tesla Cybertruck Officially crossed 30,000 miles in my Cyberbeast today IMG_9566

Just got back from a local roadtrip to Orlando/Epic Universe with the wife/kids and just hit 30,000 miles on my drive home.
I officially got this non FS Cyberbeast on 11/10/24 so it’s just under 12 months of ownership and it truly has been a joy drive to drive/own. I even got Powershare install to make the most of it although zero hurricanes this year to put it to the real test.

We stayed at the Four Seasons in Orlando and I was shocked to learn the valet said they on site charging so they charged it up which made the drive home seamless, didn’t have to stop to make it back to Fort Lauderdale. I got about 260 miles of true real world range on a full charge and that included speeding up to 85-90mph for long stretches of time before hitting slower traffic due to rain.

I avg 381.5 Wh/mile over 30,000 miles, I tracked every single since I took delivery.

If anyone of you are on fence, go for it!

Kids loved using the screen/games in the back, my wife passed out in the front, overall I am super happy and plan to keep this beast for years to come. Just waiting on FSD14 and Smart Summon 🤔

I used FSD from Kennedy Space Center to my home in Weston in Jan 2024 completely … only disengaged once it got to my neighborhood because it still can’t differentiate visitor/resident lanes at the Gate house.

Nice!, yeah ... unfortunately mostly for work I do around 80-110 miles a day.
Well, you are getting a bit better efficiency/range than Tesla claims for the Cyberbeast (381.5 Wh/mile vs. 384.4 Wh/mile), which is really good since it seems the bulk of your miles must be highway miles.

First up, congratulations.
Not to be downer but what’s the general consensus on Tesla’s extended service plan/warranty? Worth it?
haven’t looked for the Cybertruck but for the model x I think it’s $99 a month now. Used to be just a lump sum you paid.

I have not bothered with the extended warranty, I have a 2021 Model Y LR with 114,000 miles so far, it has been fine.

We've had 5 Tesla, three of them out of warranty, and have never had a big service bill. I know that's only anecdotal, but Tesla wouldn't price an extended warranty such that they expected to pay out as much as they took in, including the overhead of creating and managing and selling the program. And they have the data to know the long-term reliability of their cars is really good, so good that they will be the big winners on extended warranties.

Buying an extended warranty from a knowledgeable seller, and Tesla is definitely a knowledgeable seller, is like placing a bet in a casino where the odds are stacked against you. Sure, there's a chance that you will come out ahead but, in the long run, it's a losing proposition. Only if you have such a small cash account that you literally couldn't afford a major car repair without begging the bank to loan you the money does it make any sense whatsoever.

Great update! I'm also enjoying my Cyberbeast immensely. You're getting better efficiency than I am though, I'm at around 433 Wh/mile over 10k miles.

I'm really hoping this truck last me 20 years, and at some point I can upgrade the battery pack to one with more range as battery technology improves.

Nice! Welcome to the 30k+ club. Also the Cyberbeast club. There really aren't that many of us out there.
I hit mine a little before my 1st year as well (end of August 2024).

Love the truck name, thats the name of my Starlink wireless ; ]

I'm at 24k miles and have had it over a year, though my overall efficiency is 458wh/mi :/ have taken it across the country and back 3 times so far, with one of the trips towing about 4-5klbs during winter with temps as low as -25f.

Edit: the nice thing though, tessie is reporting 0% degradation for me so far. It estimates 123.96 kwh where it is rated for 122.53kwh.
