I stared doing a similar set upI've camped several times in my CT over the past 6 months. I bring along a 10 x 10 foot canopy for sun and rain protection. Just back under the canopy during a rain storm and all stays dry.

Love the setup. I assume we can build a similar folding panel for the Bug screen? If your panel can withstand the weight of the portable AC, it should definitely work for the Bug screen. I assume the Tonneau holds it tight. I’m thinking of making one if no one makes it.We sleep in the vault with the tonneau closed most of the way when security is important, and in the cool winter months with an electric blanket. No canopy is needed when camping in the Arizona desert. Just leave the tonneau open an inch at the gate for air circulation.
In summer, sleeping in a closed vault is not practical without A/C. I set up this system to air condition the vault. The BougeRV on max cooling draws 230 watts, but typically less than 100 watts to maintain a comfortable temperature within.

It draws in some fresh air, as well, to keep CO2 at a healthy level. The BougeRV has a maximum output of only 2880 BTU, so it usually runs continuously at a low noise level instead of cycling on and off like larger units do. I can run it all night on less than a kWh of battery. That's less than using Camp Mode. It rests on a transparent folding panel (1/4" Lexan) that allows natural light into the vault come morning and eases any feelings of claustrophobia that some people are sensitive to. It also reduces humidity which can make tent sleeping pretty miserable in July.

I also made a screened vent insert when mosquitoes are a problem.Love the setup. I assume we can build a similar folding panel for the Bug screen?
