Matte Gunmetal Metallic Wrap!

I just got mine wrapped with Matte Gunmetal Metallic and the window tint! I like it.

As much as I hate wraps, I dig it. Reminds me of tactical grey!

Love the look but a question for people who are experienced with wraps: A friend told me that wraps need to be replaced around 3 years... is this true?

Maybe not replaced, but that’s the warranty for the vinyl wraps. Paint Protection Film last much longer - typical warranties are 8-10 years.

I *love* this color. Was solidly on matte white but I just got my VIN and now I want this grey. But I need to find it in PPF instead of vinyl!

*Edit: Doing some research and since I haven’t had a wrap in multiple years I’ve learned vinyl has made some great strides. Warranty for those is typically 7-8 years now while PPF is usually 10. So I think the choice comes down to what you like more, and vinyl definitely gives you more options.*

OP, need some help.

I loved your gunmetal wrap, but when I went to schedule my appointment and checked on the Avery gunmetal sample it looked much lighter and more “silver” than yours.

If you look at my pics the Gunmetal Avery sample is on the right (the left is another company’s ”black silver” for comparison). This pic was in the shade, but in the sun the Avery wrap was even MORE metallic looking.

I know it’s impossible to tell this stuff online but does yours lean more to the silver spectrum or is it the dark grey it appears in these pics? Your wrap looks awesome and thought it was the one for me. Appreciate your help!

3-6 years ish.



PPF can last up to 10-ish.
