yes, beast mode (0-60, 3 secs.) and 500 mi. range is more than I need for daily driving, but towing is another issue for me. I like to keep 0-60 around 5 seconds when pulling a 6K trailer. Is this linear math?….like 3 seconds for 7k and 6 seconds for 14K?? Is the range linear also or different with more regenerative braking?

Why 5 seconds? That's so random. And still faster than most normal trucks unloaded.

To answer your question tho. I have no idea but chatgpt says:

Let's delve into the math a bit. When towing a trailer, the added weight affects the vehicle's acceleration. The relationship between towing and 0-60 times can be quite complex and depends on several factors, including:

1. **Towing Weight**: Heavier trailers require more power to accelerate, so as you increase the trailer weight, your 0-60 time will likely increase non-linearly.

2. **Power and Torque**: The vehicle's power and torque output play a significant role. More powerful vehicles can handle heavier loads with less impact on acceleration.

3. **Aerodynamics**: The shape and aerodynamics of the trailer can also influence acceleration. A less aerodynamic trailer might have a more noticeable impact on 0-60 times.

4. **Transmission and Gear Ratios**: The gearing in the transmission matters. Some vehicles have towing modes that adjust gear ratios to optimize towing performance.

5. **Tire Grip**: The type and condition of the tires can affect how well the vehicle handles the extra load.

In summary, the relationship between towing and 0-60 times isn't a simple linear one. As you increase the trailer weight, you may see a disproportionate increase in the 0-60 time due to the factors mentioned above. Manufacturers often provide towing capacity and performance data, which can be helpful in understanding how different loads affect acceleration.
