Yep, Think about all the damage these non Tesla vehicles are doing to us. Lots of money, insurance claims, bodily injuries, and even loss of life. Ive had 2 incidences of being struck by non Teslas in the last 2 months. Both would not have happened in a Tesla.

Say what you will about glass roofs, those things are solid as can be. A 50,000 lb trailer fell on it! It took some damage for sure, but it’s still there.

A glass roof is better at spreading the forces out to the rest of the frame than sheet metal. This is particularly apparent in the side intrusion crash test (car is thrust sideways into a telephone pole like structure).

I had a good friend die instantly when he lost control of his Mustang, slid across some wet grass and impacted the driver door into a telephone pole at about 35 mph. If his car had a glass roof, he would probably still be with us.

You don't need a strong, safe passenger cage, right up until the moment you actually need one. You never know when that might be.
