Hey all-

Picked up my CT last night. It came with big hand prints on the passenger door. Any idea the best way to clean?

So far I'm VERY iffy on it. The steering wheel is my biggest discomfort, feels tiny compared to the truck and steer by wire doesn't feel communicative enough for such a big truck.

The one thing they stressed during pickup was to clean it with PH neutral soaps/chemicals.

As you've probably seen elsewhere, glass cleaner works for spot fingerprint removal.

I've been stressing over this with my CT as well. I've watched all the videos read all the threads let me tell you what works for me.

I make up a 2 bucket wash using Dawn dish soap for the soap bucket. I found the easiest way is wash 1/2 of one side then use a yard blower to dry it off. If you use microfiber towels it will streak and you will chase the streaks. Using the yard blower was a game changer for me. Also if you wait to long you dry it, you will get water spots you need to deal with, just go a panel or two at at time. When you are done you might have some fingerprints and or dark spots that didn't come off. I use the spray version of Bar Keepers Friend on these. Just spray use a MF towel and clean it. For final fingerprints and clean up after BKF I use Sprayaway window cleaner. I find it does better than Windex. Invisible Glass cleaner also is very good! My advice here is when using the glass cleaner use gentle wipes for some reason it works better than when I go at it. I think it's got to do with flash point of the cleaner possibly.

Anyway that's how I do mine, wheels first, then the Dawn, air dry, BKF and Sprayaway to touch up and do the glass. Also I've been using Chemical Guys Matte spray for the trim but I'm sure any detailer will work there. Hope this helps someone.

I use a battery powered 80v Kobalt yard blower on turbo to dry it btw.

I run, all my cars through car washes now even with the bad rotating brushes and get them detailed once a year. Including my black SUV and black truck.

Would this be very bad for the cyber truck or would it be just fine?

Sounds like a pretty safe way to wash it.
Question, how long would you say start to finish it takes, or next time you do it maybe check your phone.
Really hoping I did not reserve a high maintenance vehicle as a work truck.

Took maybe 30-40 minutes for basic job but I was not rushing.

I've used Bar Keepers on my dishwasher and fridge and it works really well. So it is for sure ok to use on the Cybertruck?

I tried water and microfiber towels but as you say they leave streaks and do nothing to remove any stains. I just tried to blow off a bug and a few spots of saliva got on the and instantly left a stain even though I had a microfiber towel in hand.

On the kitchen appliances I use Bar Keepers and then a different clean, damp cloth. Why do you use Sprayaway window cleaner after?

Here is a little trash can Cyber design, to keep your area clean. So surprised that someone beat Tesla to this…looks like the bottle of Cyber beer just inverted.
