How many Roadsters have deposits?

Anyone know? I’ve seen deposits ending in 90,xxx. No way there are 90k reservations right?

Also, this forum should have some way of noting who has one on order vs. who is just here for the show.

The RN number I assume is for all Tesla vehicle reservation/orders? I doubt there is anyway to publically pinpoint the # of reservations.

FWIW, my RN for my Roadster Thrust is about ~500 number higher than both @gtgarner and @5280cyber . I reserved about 2 days before the 10/15 reveal date.

I put down $50k - 2 years ago.

Then Tesla had the reveal - resulting in me having a performance roadster.

Then 10/16 I received an email from Tesla that I could upgrade to the Thrust.

Then 10/18 I put down an additional $200k. Now the thrust is my reservation.

Yeah I didn't put down a penny until I watched the demo on 10/15 and now I know this car will be for real.

It seems like the 50k depositors got defaulted to Performance and the 250k depositors defaulted to Thrust and they offered the 50k guys an upgrade path to the Thrust with additional money down.

And I imagine all those influencers who got free Roadsters will be getting the base version and also those who got some referrals also for partial discounts will only be getting the base trim

The first 4 numbers after RN r also important because all orders, Cyber, S, X, 3, Y are sequential at not by model. My RNxxxxx8201 number may b lower than someone who ordered later with a smaller last 4 digit but higher leading 4 digits.
