I took the truck in for its scheduled service appointment and the service supervisor drove around with me and noticed the noise. He said he was unfamiliar with it.
In the end, he made a recording of the sound and was passing it onto Tesla engineers because he could not precisely identify it.
Up to that point I was being told that it was a normal sound. I said if it’s a normal sound, then they should be able to identify it. If they can’t identify it, then it needs to be fixed.
I will update with what they get back to me with.
