If you drive your cybertruck for a long-distance road trip, where else will you put your luggage or other stuff besides the trunk?

I learned the hard way the bed isn't very waterproof at all. Especially the front of the bed, which is touching the cab.

If you must use the bed for luggage on a trip, I highly recommend lifting your suitcases off the bed, a few inches of height will get you out of pooling water. Also my second tip is a moving/furniture bag around your suitcases. Doing these two things SHOULD keep you dry, in anything but the worst storms.

Nothing is worse than starting a trip at a laundromat, because everything you brought got soaked. 1/3 of my bags, the ones closest to the bed, were in a pool of water after driving through a big storm to start my vacation.

Trunk? ?

You don't put stuff you want to stay clean and dry in a truck bed. That goes inside the cab, the frunk, it the sealed under bed.

After off-roading at Hollister, I cleaned my CT with power washer. Bed, vault, frunk and cabin all stayed dry as a bone. Maybe ask your local SC if they can achieve a better fit/seal?

Weird, my bed drains out the front and rear. There is no way for water to pool (unless the luggage made a dam).

This must be case by case. We’ve had some ridiculously heavy and persistent rain… the morning after it rained about 5 inches here, I checked the bed and maybe 2-4oz of water was streaming down one side with a little bit in the bed. Not enough where if I had luggage, it would’ve gotten wet.

I would maybe do a service center visit, or worst case throw some plastic down if you want full piece of mind

There is a seal piece at the top edge of the vault which reportedly has a high variability of installation quality.
Ours has been dry.

I had mine replaced by Service and it's been much better.

Oh thanks for sharing. Your advice will help more people avoid these terrible things. But you can consider these extra accessories if you drive a long-distance trip. 1) Roof rack: https://hansshow.biz/3ANb7Y5b 2)https://hansshow.biz/3XabfbH
