Hi, long time no see. Long story short, I was an original cyber truck reservation holder, got my number called, paid the thousand plus dollars to take delivery, and never pulled the trigger. Hindsight 20/20and depreciation , I think that’s was a good decision.
I think I still want the CT, but I’m asking you, the owners, who have had their truck for a while do you still think it’s worth it? I’ve read stuff about the front light bar being OEM verse China made, how do you even know which one you have? I hear things about car washes, not sure of the validity. So I’m coming to you, the real owners, the people that know, the cyber truck club. Let me know what you think.

I am a Foundation Series owner and would definitely do it again. I'll buy anything that boy makes. With the exception of my first Tesla, which was used, all of our subsequent purchases were made when the model was new (refreshed Model 3, Model Y, CT). Yes, we could have waited a year or more and purchased the same vehicle for less, but we chose not to wait - the newer versions are just THAT good. We currently own a CT and a Y. Our next purchase will be to replace the Y with whatever model next utilizes Steer By Wire - and we'll be on the reservation list ASAP.

But to answer your question specifically about the CT - it's beyond anything explainable. I was just having a conversation with a guy today who I let drive (a friend of a friend) and even though he has been watching videos, etc. he said he had no idea how impressive it was.

Personally, we do not regret one bit buying the CT or any other Tesla model at a premium.

Hey there absolutely the CT is worth it! I have had my FS AWD CT for almost 11 months now and it is by far the best vehicle I’ve ever driven. I did own a 2016 X and a 2021 Y in the past and drive ability and all the features of the CT just blow them out of the water. Compare this to an ICE vehicle and it’s not even close. It drives like youre on a cloud, the drive by wire makes driving so easy, the sound system is incredible, and it’s incredibly spacious. There’s probably a thousand other features you can list off that are amazing with this truck. You mention car washes…….I usually just go to the self serve car wash and after 15 min it’s spotless. But since I’m recovering from foot surgery I’ve gone a few times now to a drive in car wash and had no issues. I’ve also have had zero issues at all with my truck. Only took it to a service center once to get the tires rotated. To sum it up it’s well worth it and you should pull that trigger and get the greatest vehicle ever made. You wont regret it.

I was just talking about this yesterday. Knowing everything I know, having the experience I’ve had over the last 13+ months and 23k+ miles, I’d do it all again, exactly the same way I have. No regrets whatsoever.

Yes, definitely.

If you qualify for the tax credit, you can get one for like $70k, and subscribe to FSD for $99/month.

1) That’s a nice savings
2) You’ve waited out the worst of the media fueled hate and exaggerated news, which has been the only downside of the vehicle

The primary reasons I’ve seen people here regret getting it:

1) Bit off more than they can chew. Were not cross shopping other $70-100k vehicles and regret the cost

2) Didn’t want or need a truck. Realized they want a small vehicle.

3) Social media influencer who only bought it to create content

4) Have a frequent long distance towing use case or ultra remote application

5) Couldn’t weather the hate and media BS which is now calming

Knowing what I know now, 13 months later, I would do it all over again, even if the price were $150K and I didn't even need a truck! It's the safest, most solid, durable feeling truck I've ever driven (and I've driven a lot of them). The best vehicle I've ever experienced. The way the Cybertruck drives reminds me of a quote from Muhammad Ali:

"Floats like a Butterfly, Stings Like a Bee!"

Muhammad Ali was a fighter, but he was also a philosopher with a lot of wisdom hiding behind his uneducated speech. His nickname was "The Greatest". A couple of other Ali quotes that I think are fitting to the Cybertruck:

"I’m so fast that last night I turned off the light switch in my hotel room and got into bed before the room was dark.”

"A man who views the world the same at 50 as he did at 20 has wasted 30 years of his life.”

"Live every day like it’s your last, because someday you’re going to be right.”

Yes definitely worth it. It's the best vehicle I've owned. I've had several trucks and cars.. this is better than all of them. Fun to drive, high utility, comfortable. No issues so far, about 6000 miles in.
