Yes, that makes sense. It’s harder than it seams.

FYI - The challenge with making things that run on the Tesla LIN is they become subject to OTA update obsolescence - we run into this often with our screens and head / tail lights; then we race to make new firmware or modules to keep those products functioning.

that said, that’s cool if someone makes a module to control using the screen - just be aware it’s subject to ota risks.

on the rooftop light bar, yes ours is a simple on/off function, bur our focus was on lighting performance / output. The TSportline light bar annihilates the Tesla (and other) light bars in that regard. So for those that are off-roading at night, it’s unmatched. Plus, no LIN ota update risks.
Love your products. I imagine it’s pretty hard to have to engineer around Tesla decisions especially when they keep changing as you pointed out.
@mongo is a tinkerer and significantly smarter than the average bear. I think what works for him won’t necessarily be appropriate for most customers.
Finally got to see one of your CTX bumpers in person on @CT_AZ_4x4 ’s truck. What a nice piece. Absolutely gorgeous. Makes me wish I needed that on my truck. 😄
Think I’m going to order the rival front plate and control arm pieces next when my truck comes back from terrestrial armoring this week.
Is that something you keep in stock or is there pretty long lead time? Any upcoming sales I should wait on?

Cool. In my cart. What’s the best code I can use? BLACK15? Also, is there a magic number to hit to get free shipping?

yes sir, that's the one!
Sorry I edited the txt to include the shipping question after you had already answered. Just wondering if adding other stuff would reduce shipping cost

If you add stuff, the shipping will go up - but remain LESS than if you bought things separately.

Oh I love the bar I got from y'all. I just wish it had the cool functionality that the OEM one has. I understand the complications, but lets be realistic - a simple and very inexpensive (like 1-5 dollars) BLE device in the stack would allow for updates if a Tesla OTA update borks the comms.

just a wish is all ;)

We can very easily make light bar's remote control. We have those kits now. I am not exactly following what the point is here - you can already turn our light bar on/off using the center screen control.
Can you make a control that lets me turn the OEM light bar on/off via a button that I can place anywhere like a sexy button?

Same request. I love the toggles in my Raptor. Simple on/off switch I can flip in the dark without looking. I hate having to click through a couple options on the screen for the light bar.

We can do it, but ultimately you still need to 'turn on the power' in the dash. Until/Unless Tesla makes that optionally default to 'on', it needs turned on every time you start the vehicle.

Not if it’s wired to the frunk power supply. That can be left on. Even in low power mode. That’s how I run my fridge and Starlink. On an auxbeam switch from that.

My roof power is always on currently. With your switch it would change that?

That is the one thing I loved about my raptor. One flick of the switch and boom blinding lights. I also wish my Tesla OEM light bar was half as bright as my Baja designs lights.

it would, but it's a lot of wire/relay/harness - would look fugly on the roof. okay in the frunk, behind the frunk liner.
