One of the best, and simplest explanations on how BMS needs a nudge or roll into a supercharger at 2% occasionally to calibrate.Here’s my battery capacity over time:

Note the downward trend, followed by a steep upward jump, and another downward slope. What happened?
For my needs, I charge to 50% daily. The sudden rise in apparent capacity occurred when I took a long trip, discharging to very low and then charging to 100%.
This didn’t change the actual capacity, but rather let the BMS get a better calibration. So I would agree with the suggestion to discharge as low as practical (single-digits) and then fully to 100%.
