From another post, I got these.

3M Scotch Brite 6" Very Fine Hookit Disc https://a.co/d/0hflJdhj

And the scratches on the stainless come right out with a random orbital sander. Still lots of discussion over the correct sander to use but for me this worked. I tried every other pad I could find in Lowe's and auto part stores and nothing else came close to working as well.

Used plastic polish for the mirrors and back to black for the flares and almost as good as new.

If you don't mind me asking, what plastic polish did you use and did you remover the burrs of plastic before using the plastic polish?
My plastic rocker panels, finder flairs and stock mud flaps got damaged from driving on a gravel road. Lots of pitting, deep scratched, and plastic burrs sticking out. I'm thinking that I'll have to sand the burrs off first before trying to use plastic polish in hopes to try and restore the plastics. I'm not sure how to approach the deep gouges.

The bumper is made of similar material. Coming up on 20k. It is starting to feel like 150 grit sandpaper. Can't be great for aero I would imagine.

If they are deep just consider dealing with it or replacing them outright. I didn't think they are that expensive. I got 2 different plastic polishes from AutoZone/advance and they are about the same.

I spoke with the line X in Austin. We did a sample fairing, and the material stuck very well. I plan on having it done with smooth LineX in a couple of weeks. I don’t want the pebble texture and wanted to mimic the factory look.
