On a garage rooftop, overlooking North Austin. "Urban Trucking"

(Display said height was 5' 8" but I was very nervous passing under concrete overhangs labeled 6' 8"...)

How's your range? I noticed very little loss to my average towing my airstream basecamp. 480w/m for me.
That was a different rig, but mine is a 25’ Airstream International. I just haven’t had an enough miles for me to feel comfortable estimating what it will be. It was 780 for 27 miles with a mix of highway and street. But my range wasn’t locked in at, say 60mph. The speed factor is probably the biggest issue for Airstreams as a higher speed is going to have exponentially higher drag.

I’m taking a Boy Scout trailer out in a couple weeks that will be ~150 miles round trip and then I’m taking the Airstream for ~140-150 miles in early May. That’ll be a better comparison.

Sounds great! I myself will be towing our Airstream Basecamp to Montana in June. Estimated about 7 charges to Montana. Will see. so many factors to deal with. All I know is charging is fast and easy. Enjoy yourself.

Maybe not a 'truck' thing but a 'Cybertruck' thing. Lost power after a storm. Started with refrigerators and freezers then on to media closet and computers. Can't wait until Power Share becomes a reality. Any bets on which will come first between FSD and Power Share?

Nice! I would love to know more about your Basecamp towing experience. I might be doing the same once I get my Cyberbeast.

Why not the truck?

Polaris Ranger EV would fit on the path to the woodshed but not a car or truck. Unfortunately the electric Rangers are kinda expensive. I can buy a standard range Ford Lightning for less cost, due to $12,500 tax credits in Colorado. So the up to $600 credit for electric service panel upgrade is the most appealing path forward for this project.
