285/75/18 Nokian Outpost NAT tires + 18" Atomic Wheels - my review / experience

Was the roughly 10% range loss coming from AT tires or all season tires?

    Hardcore FSD CT user's question:

It is not a daily issue, but I would say a bimonthly event would be a fair assessment. I am also a low milage driver as well. 5k-6k miles per year.

    Hardcore FSD CT user's question:

Doesn't FSD v14 now include intent/strategy? I am not sold that you need 2 camera's to produce a 3D representation. I had always understood that you could achieve this with multiple frames from a single camera video feed due to movement and then be able to infer a 3D image from the differences...

    Hardcore FSD CT user's question:

Tesla I would think, in theory, they could model that out. But in real world, I could see some huge value to that test.

    Hardcore FSD CT user's question:

I should reiterate that if I had not reacted and FSD didn’t react that I would have been sideswiped.

    Hardcore FSD CT user's question:

I can trust FSD almost all of the times except for when another driver does something stupid. Primary them cutting in front of me as a blind spot lane change maneuver. I have taken over control every time this has occurred (that I am aware of). Any feedback on how it handles the situation for...

FSD V14.1 released in 2025.32.8.5 Update! Likely coming to Cybertruck by end of October (says Ashok)

I have noticed a huge difference depending on what mode I have FSD in vs being lane centered. ZERO issue in Chill mode, oddly it hugs the right side for me in Standard and Hurry mode. Would love to know if Chill mode resolves lane centering for other CT owners???

FSD 14 now rolling out to employees

I can add some context to your thoughts. My Father-in-law is newly retired: He taught sports and Driver's Education. Not only did he teach Drivers Ed at the local high school but he also wrote the entire college course book and taught Drivers Ed at the local university for other teachers...

    Smart Solar Charging the CT?

The reason for the second inverter is that the DC to AC inverter is only 11.5 kw. While the PW3 can handle 20kw that really is only when 5kw is being diverted to charge the battery. Most days the battery is fully charged by 10am leaving several more peak hours being limited by the inverter...

    Smart Solar Charging the CT?

As I understand it: The Powerwall 3 does allow 20kW of DC solar power in but only under circumstances of the battery not being at 100% charge. It diverts up to 5Kw of power direct DC to DC to charge the battery (bypassing the inverter as there is no need to convert it to AC). The output is the...

    Smart Solar Charging the CT?

Yeah the 49a Universal charger can pull 20kw and maybe more, its a hefty load. When your charging with your mobile charger, are you pulling from your PW's at all?

    Smart Solar Charging the CT?

Charging on solar is not the issue. Its charging only with EXCESS solar AFTER the PW's are full, without going over production and pulling back from the util co. So its a variable rate charge so that it stays in its lane. I would rather not cycle my PW when possible while charging the CT or...

    Smart Solar Charging the CT?

Interesting but I do not understand why net metering would have any bearing on this feature. Further (but sketchy) research indicates Tesla Gateway is needed for this feature. However, there is an app "Charge HQ" than can do this exact same feature. It needs to link to your Tesla account to...

    Smart Solar Charging the CT?

PowerWall 3, an additional Tesla Inverter, Tesla Universal Wall Connector, 24.9kw of (58qty) Solar panels. No Tesla Gateway. Net Metering to be enabled in a week or 2. QMerit assigned contractor sometime in October to do the install of the Powershare.

    Smart Solar Charging the CT?

I need to know figure out why I don't get this option displayed yet on my phone app.

    Smart Solar Charging the CT?

Ok, looks like it can already do this via the "Charge on Solar" option. Going to give it a shot and see how it goes.

    Smart Solar Charging the CT?

So solar was just installed on my home and I would love some input from those more experienced. At peak sunlight hours I overproduce power from my solar system (w/ 1 Powerwall 3) depending on when air conditioner kicks off. Rather than sending the excess power back to the power company where I...

FSD 14 release next month will start nagging much less - says Musk

I read it as: Far less naggy = FSD is progressing at a rate of safety that Tesla as a corporation has determined that we can be less aggressive and allow you more time to not pay attention to the road before providing a warning. This means you no longer have to ruin you entire day and glance...

FSD 14 release next month will start nagging much less - says Musk

What exactly are you doing in the driver seat when you are are being nagged currently? I cannot recall an instances in the past 6 months or greater when I got a nag when not paying attention.
