Could be. My memory tells me they were cooled but not heated but it could be the opposite. Anyway, i'm in the pnw and while it's mostly mild, it must take only a few days a year of an extreme to really make the difference.
Well obviously that is true in a lot of areas
I agree with everything you said. I guess i wish there was a way to determine the battery life in all these new vehicles coming out. Basing longevity on battery chemistry or manufacturer seems a fools errand. Longevity seems to vary by car...
This is an EV Battery related, not specific to Tesla. I own a 2015 and 2018 Kia Soul ev. I obviously loved the first one so much that we have another one in the family. The only gripe is battery longevity. Kia has a great a warranty, 70% soh and they replace the pack (refurbished from...
I only want the best for Rivian and all ev makers, but a blood bath is coming to their stock price. I hope they have enough cash reserves to keep losing on every truck they make for quite a while.
Sure, there is inflation but Imo it seems the most likely reason to raise the price this high is that they are not very good at mass production, as expected for their first consumer truck. With a huge pre order backlog it only makes sense for them to raise the price. Sadly, I think they...
I want this future, Elon gives me hope and my niece and nephew tell me it's a certainty to happen but i have serious doubts about being alive to see it.
As someone in their 50's who might be in their 60's or 70's before full level 5 is achieved i couldn't disagree with the author more. Perhaps he is in his 20's
I do 99% of my charging at home but i sure hope this will mean that other networks will also be open to tesla! Around here i've seen several tesla owners use a chademo adapter but i'd like to see one big open network, i don't care about branding.
What is the current Tesla battery warranty? Last i took note of Tesla they limited the mileage and it was only 8 years. Last i looked the Kia one was 10 years, unlimited miles, if it drops to 70% soh they replace the battery, not prorated. Tesla seems to have the better batteries, you'd think...
I'm going to guess that you won't be able to replace them as they are part of the frame. That said, i expect them to outlast the rest of the components with all the talk about million mile batteries. I'd hedge my bets for future years by buying more range than you need!
On a side note, my...
I like it. Did they say if they were going to sell it or if it was subscription based?
I just don't see how this company survives on its own without some other major player coming in that helps with volume and service. Like a government contract, amazon, apple, or a legacy auto. Thoughts?
