Nothing for trailers that small. Pebble and Lightship offer RV trailers with batteries and powered axles to extend the range of the towing vehicle.
You might suggest it to some of the manufacturers of equipment and vehicle trailers since it would be helpful for recreational and commercial use.
Other than personal biases, everyone also has different use cases. A lot of the GM truck buyers just want the longer range for towing. In addition, the big batteries are ideal for arbitrage/selling power to the utility in order to offset some of the cost of the trucks.
To each his own.
It is kind of odd/amusing that the SS seems to actually take more effort to keep pristine than an good paint job. I am more likely to buy a different truck for other reasons but, if I were to buy a CT, I would paint it. Maybe two tone.
The Cybertruck needs more battery but the range extender in the bed was always a silly way to go about it. Kind of makes the truck no longer a truck. Unfortunately, more battery capacity is going to have to come from better batteries.
Everyone seems to be pointing you towards wrapping. I suggest you get paint quotes. I don't think they will be much more expensive than good PPF wrap since the prep probably isn't much different and prep is a large part of painting costs.
Even PPF only has a 10 year expected lifespan. Vinyl is...
Let me get this straight. This is a daily parking lot but you are OK with leaving your vehicle plugged in for 2 weeks? Sorry, but the disrespect sounds like yours as well.
That said, she shouldn't have unplugged you. She had no way of knowing you were going to be gone for several days.
Do you...
Most of my experience was in the 70s. The ramps were usually too steep to float or drive the boat on. We would drive or walk the boat onto the first set of rollers and winch it the rest of the way. Manual winches for the most part but some people used electric ones. There's no reason the trailer...
In all my years of launching boats from trailers on boat ramps, I never got the tow vehicle wet. For some reason, everyone these days expects to drive the boat all the way onto the trailer, which generally means immersing the tow vehicle to some extent. If the boat trailer has a winch, use it...
This is a well presented, thoughtful video. It points out the potential limitations of the Cybertruck for towing but it is important to keep the real world in mind. Few, if any, will be towing at max weight with a high center of gravity trailer and then hit a huge bump/pothole at high speed...
I installed this on an F250. You just need to be able to screw into steel.
Ultimately started to come apart. Was helpful up until then though it was mostly for the grandkids to get in. You still need something to grab onto as it is a ladder, not a step. The CT doesn't have a readily accessible...
" Sounds like you're just better off buying a used Tesla than actual Powerwalls with a generator outlet. "
kWh/$ for an EV truck is going to be better than home batteries. However, you may not be at home to have the truck plugged in when needed, so at least some minimal battery is beneficial...
If you own a Cybertruck and are having issues with it, this is the forum to vent about them/look for help. If there weren't issues, there would be no posts about them.
This isn't just a Cybertruck thing. Go on the owners' forums of other trucks and you will find owners venting about their...
You hit the nail on the head with your reference to angles. The panels will basically never be at the optimum angle to the sun. It would be nice if they showed some actual solar charging data.
Unless you get a ripping lease payment (that might include applying the tax credit), the problem with leasing is that you have own nothing after the lease ends. With a purchase, even with EV depreciation being high, you still own an asset you can sell. Normally, at the end of the same number of...
