I live in CA and have driven multiple vehicles without front plates for at least 4 decades without ever being pulled over or ticketed for not having a front plate. Speeding though....radar detector has saved me thousands.

Per this article and Out of Spec, EVJECT can also work:

I am not recommending any of these...
The covers give a pretty small aero benefit per independent wind tunnel and CFD tests - don't remember the actual number but I think it was in the 1% or less range. If my math isn't messed up, the savings with the wheel covers is less than 50 cents per full charge so it would take 600 or more...
There has been a lot of research showing that charging to 65% or less will extend battery life significantly. I wish I still had the link but, if my memory serves me correctly, there was one study in Australia that showed the kind of lithium ion cells used in the Cybertruck would last 6500...
Note that it is vertical load and is probably more of an issue for an up load which the truck/hitch isn't designed to accommodate. With the truck allowing an 1,100 lb tongue weight, the downward load from hitch mounted items like mobility scooters is probably going to ever be an issue.
Welcome to California. PG&E is also .35 off peak. The California Public Utility Commission has been captured by the utilities and we pay for it.
There might be one upside. If you are on solar NEM2 you can sell power from the truck to the utility during peak hours and make as much as .30 per...
Makes more sense to have the solar array track the sun than try to maneuver the truck. Something like this:

No website yet so info not complete. Lighter wheels mean lower rotating inertia so better efficiency. 33 lbs for a 22" wheel is good but not exceptional. Off-road would want 18" if they fit. Sandy says they won't plug up but I don't think he does much off-roading. They will still plug up from...
Surprising that the all season tires loose so much payload rating. Most have more than sufficient load capacity. They are probably a bit lighter so you would expect the opposite.
Nice catch. Solves the problem that a lot of modern vehicles have jacking points but nowhere to put a jack stand once the vehicle is raised. All the underbody aero cladding gets in the way.
Yes, I was aware that it doesn't physically disconnect the axle. Poor choice of words.
Out of Spec ran a Cyberbeast, a Silverado EV 4WT, a Lightning and a Rivian R1T across the Rockies and back. All towing a Model 3 on a trailer. They all got 2 m/kWh. The Silverado made it across the Rockies...
No question that the Cybertruck is more efficient but some of the Silverado owners are getting 416 Wh/mile, so the difference isn't quite that large. Like anything to do with efficiency, details matter. With the Silverado, part of the problem is GM sticking them with those ridiculous 24" wheels...
Early stages but Silverado EV owners are getting 200-250 miles towing. ICE vehicles are also impacted by trailer aero and loose a similar % range. Some diesels might get another 50 miles (assuming no auxiliary tanks) though you have to put up with the racket/smell and cost of diesel on a day to...
Call RealTruck or use their online contact form. They make the product and should be able to provide mounting instructions which might give you a sense of whether you can mount it on your truck. I have found them to be responsive.
Hate to say it but, as great as the Cybertruck is, it is the wrong EV pickup for the job. The Silverado EV with its monster battery may be hitting a nail with a sledgehammer, for towing any distance, it is the answer to avoiding stress and heartburn.
This is one of those cases where what the...
You might be confusing a disconnect with a transfer switch. Solar inverters disconnect from the grid in an outage but only affect the solar system. Your home is still connected to the grid, just with the solar shut off. A transfer switch completely isolates the house from the grid - can be...
