  1. Rear tires wear out super fast on AWD Cybertruck, could it be FSD?

“ Normal “ is relative. If you drive extremely aggressively, pushing the traction limits on a daily basis, you can expect very rapid tire wear. You can deduce this logically by going to a track day where people can burn through an entire new set of tires in under a few hours. Thus the time it...
  2. RIP: Model S and X production to end in Q2 2026!

Technically it is possible for humans to nearly outperform FSD / driverless cars. The proof is places like Norway or Denmark with 1 crash for every 1,000,000 miles driven. This is not hypothetical, but already demonstrated. Having driven in the EU , Mexico , and Asian countries I’ve always...
  3. Rear tires wear out super fast on AWD Cybertruck, could it be FSD?

Yes. On the CT it was the factory tires , then 2 sets for KM3s. The KM3s also cup badly before going “bald”. On the m3P , the original Perelli’s, now 5 sets of Michelin pilot sport 4s. 40 psi for both vehicles
  4. Rear tires wear out super fast on AWD Cybertruck, could it be FSD?

This is normal for me on my CT and m3P. 10k miles in my normal tire change interval, even with rotating at 3k . Yes the guy is probably driving aggressively like me
  5. Rear tires wear out super fast on AWD Cybertruck, could it be FSD?

This is pretty common with a lot of Tesla’s actually. This is not a defect or mistake from the factory. Tesla probably sends their vehicles out with aggressive rear alignments (More negative camber, more toe in) which results in excessive tire, but produces exceptional handling, and safer...
  6. F-150 Lighting EV Cancelled. To be Replaced by EREV Hybrid Lightning

I actually miss driving my model 3P whenever I’m in the cyber. My wife drives the cyber most of the time. I guess the steer by wire is definitely a much better experience in the CT vs the model 3P … but , that 4,000lb go kart makes the CT feel like a FedEx truck in terms of handling and...
  7. First Cybertruck to cross the Rubicon video launch! [CYBERTRUCKco]

No big deal. Easy fix: -add custom portal hubs/spindle -40” tires -custom 7/8” heim tie rods (both ends) with custom inner steering clevis at the steering rack -uniball control arms -Porsche 934 CV axles -remove air suspension for 3” coil overs -sway bar disconnect I think that about...
  8. Is the 80% recommended charge real?

after so many years of real world driving data on Tesla NMC battery packs, and LFP battery packs it would seem they are a lot more robust than previously thought. Showing minimal battery degradation overall, even when supercharged constantly, driven aggressively, or charged to 100% often (NMC)...
  9. Temporary loss in responsive steer by wire.

    “ flaccid” … ?
  10. What is good generator for CT if in case road trip in Alaska or in desert where no supercharging available.

That would be great if you could drag around a 5-10kw solar panel + inverter package. Prob take a whole day to fill up , but in theory you could sustain yourself like this almost indefinitely. Don’t need to fill up gas tanks . Almost 0 maintenance for the generator itself (obviously no spark...
  11. Lightbar flew off while driving on highway!!

I have been running off road lights on my vehicles for the last 25 years. Halogen , HIDs , LED bars and everything in between. never would I even consider mounting an off-road accessory light with adhesive. Bolt to bracket only . Not only is this incredibly strong, but it permits...
  12. đź’Ą CYBERTRUCKco Heavy-Duty Aluminum Rear Bumper launched! đź’Ą

Nah it’s cool. I think he mentioned them being aluminum so an aluminum MIG or even TIG bead will be a lot bigger vs steel. I run CBI high clearance rear steel bumpers on my Tacoma and CBI full aluminum bumper up front. Steel for the rear just because it sees a lot of rock action and steel is...
  13. Cybertruck FSD driving like a drunk teen lately

My 2024 CT dual motor drives more like my hw3 model 3P (mostly), not like my HW4 Model Y LR. Idk why. The important thing to remember is over the long run, FSD will be safer than human drivers so just deal with how awful it is . Akin to trusting flying in a plane vs driving your car cross...
  14. SLATE Truck Debuts as Modular Pickup & SUV

Exactly Also, not sure how crash safety standards will fit in here. I don’t know if anyone has mentioned it or not but a huge reason pick up trucks have gotten bigger over the years is because you don’t need to die or get hurt as badly in them anymore when you roll over or crash . Stronger...
  15. Screen Causing 2nd Degree Burns

Perhaps it was soaking up sun light directly , and it wasn’t the screens power heating it up? Also how hard was the child pressing against the screen while moving their finger ? Maybe lots of friction was built up by pressing hard against the screen . Akin to rubbing your hands together to stay...
  16. Auto park scratched my truck!

I think one of the best things about the stainless is the rust prevention after scratching it. My Tacoma has so many off road rashes that I constantly need to sand and keep rust free. Even the aftermarket sliders, aftermarket lower control arms and rear bumper require rust maintenance from all...
  17. Cybertruck hitch analysis by Engineering Explained

go to 7:30 min designed to break off. If you don’t want that , just overlay a formed 1/8” 4130 or SS steel plate and have it bolt to the other bolt holes sandwiched between the bed.
  18. **NEW** MPP "Flight Grade" Billet Front Upper Control Arms for Cybertrucks

definitely loyal to a brand. But I think that brand might be Camburg :)
  19. **NEW** MPP "Flight Grade" Billet Front Upper Control Arms for Cybertrucks

True , the cyber trucks upper arm is much longer, so misalignment angle is not an issue for upper arm ball joint binding thus limiting travel. However …. Incorrect I think it would be easier to unbolt the heim end and adjust camber / caster that way vs mpp plates . They are threaded so you have...
  20. **NEW** MPP "Flight Grade" Billet Front Upper Control Arms for Cybertrucks

Too bad you guys are not located in Southern California, with so many off-road testing grounds like Baja , Johnson Valley, glamis , ocotillo wells , Barstow … The aftermarket upper control arm industry for trucks/suvs is massive especially for off-road applications. From affordable tubular steel...
