  1. Battery / Wireless Rearview camera

I am using the Hansshow product, and putting these on the dashcam connection: https://www.rearviewsafety.com/hd-waterproof-wireless-transmitter-for-simplesighttm-series-1.html The backup cam will be wired, mounted on the roof, and the dash cam will be wireless for use on trailers. Hansshow has...
  2. Why must a spare tire be "installed" at a Service Center

The irony is that if used as intended, after it is "installed", I will be the one "uninstalling" and "reinstalling". I can't fathom the any argument where it is important that the SC install it only the first time, then the owner can do as many installs as the owner chooses.
  3. Why must a spare tire be "installed" at a Service Center

Now it is "the spare will not be here until a couple of days before the service appointment." I believe them, with JIT and all. I would not want a stack of parts waiting weeks for installation. Does put me in mind of the old SNL "Land Shark" skit tho: Just keep trying a different story until one...
  4. Why must a spare tire be "installed" at a Service Center

Then I found this: https://www.cybertruckownersclub.com/forum/threads/how-to-video-spare-tire-kit-installation-tire-change-aerocover-install.21493/ I am even more confused. Maybe I can get the girl from the video to install the spare for me.
  5. Why must a spare tire be "installed" at a Service Center

I purchased a spare that I intend for occasional use (off road and road-trips). During the purchase process I was required to schedule a service appointment (in next year) to "install" the spare. I received notification today that the spare had shipped to the service center, so I reached out to...
  6. Charging fails when using a Lectron EVCharge14-50-40A and adaptor

Final report from me: Verified G-C are bonded at my panel. Tried Lectron 4 prong (no bonding at receptacle), and it continues to only charge intermittently. Tried Tesla portable charger on same 4 prong receptacle, and worked fine. Tried Tesla portable charger with three prong adaptor (bonding...
  7. FSD v12.5.5.3 Update arrives for Cybertruck

No more feedback for me also. I wonder if the recent updates are more about improving data-collection for Tesla than they are abouy improving driving quality. As the granularity of the FSD issues get smaller, I assume my profanity is less helpful than solid telematics . The stopping in...
  8. Charging fails when using a Lectron EVCharge14-50-40A and adaptor

This: But also this: That is because, as you correctly point out, Common and Ground are bonded at the main, or sometimes at a sub (most code does not allow ties at a sub these days). For most use-cases, Ground and Common are the same by virtue of being bonded. Tesla may be a very special...
  9. Charging fails when using a Lectron EVCharge14-50-40A and adaptor

I know I will regret responding to this. On a three-prong 240 connector what is the function of the middle (round-ish) prong?
  10. Charging fails when using a Lectron EVCharge14-50-40A and adaptor

Thank Frank, easily the most useful information on this thread. This resonates because I was using a extension cord with shared ground/common. I will test with the Tesla portable charger today using the same cord and report back.
  11. Charging fails when using a Lectron EVCharge14-50-40A and adaptor

As the title says, I am getting an error every couple of minutes when trying to charge using a Lectron EVCharge14-50-40A and adaptor. The errors are HVBATT_a174 and HVBAT_a236: I have reached out to Lectron and they are suggesting a problem with the truck (works fine on my wall charger) or my...
  12. Anyone have pics of rear subwoofers or know how remove rear carpet cover to see them?

  13. Looking for air compressor ideas

Second the Dewalt. I have it in a hard-case with a battery and USB charger. I put it in the Frunk where I have USB charging ports. I have used it a couple of times on the truck, but maybe a dozen times airing up other tires, balls, etc: The USB charger connector goes through a bulkhead mount...
  14. Most Versatile Mounting Accessories for the Cybertruck: Roof Racks, Tire Rack, Crossbars and More

I have an idea / request: I would like a rack that is build on sliding rails, one on each side (left-right) bolted to the 4 hard-points. A number of rails (2, 4, etc) would be strung between the two rails in such a way they can slide back-to-front. Ideally the slides would be powered. An...
  15. 3D Print flat spot for your drink on Cybertruck roof

A flat spot. For your drink, or Jame May's Gin. Slightly obtrusive, but very functional. Bolts into cross member hard-point. Done in Fusion 360 and printed in ABS. Looks better smoothed as it comes closer to matching the B-column. I am glad to provide the 360 files or STL to anyone that...
  16. Epic Fail! - Cyberbeast - Tires shot at 6251 miles!!!

I am no expert on tires, and most certainly not an expert on Teslas. I have owned a number of performance cars tho (none as quick as the CB tho), and I hang out with other folks in the performance car world when I am able. Maybe I am missing something here, but those wear numbers seem nominal or...
