Model Y is a great vehicle. I'm on my second one.
If you ever decide you want a Tesla truck, I recommend permanently removing the rear hatch of your Model Y and using it as a truck bed. Maybe have a custom tailgate made for it. Same thing.
Vinyl wraps, sure, but PPF can be left outside no problem. Here in California we don't have the bug season to worry about but when bugs hit PPF on my other cars they wipe right up no problem and no marks
This thing is meant to be wrapped, or preferably, PPFd. The bare stainless is going to look like trash in a few months if you don't take care of it. I predict a ton of bad condition Cybertrucks running around with people who just leave finger prints and bird turds on them.
That's another...
Breaking News: Battery Powered Vehicle Cannot Tow For Long Distances
Shocking!
If this bothers you, you are not the type of truck owner to have a battery powered truck. You're the type of truck owner to own a gas or diesel powered truck.
Cancel your battery truck order and buy/keep your gas...
That's cool and all, personally, I wish he'd focus on growing and improving Tesla and not screwing around with social media companies.
He's so intelligent, but he's let fame and popularity get to his head and has put Tesla on the backburner. We don't need a guy like Elon to disrupt social...
No one is saying the Cybertruck can't tow, and cannot tow a lot of weight.
It just can't tow it over 100 miles.
We all know Elon is a BS'er. He lies all the time. I never took the numbers he claimed years ago as reality, just like I knew he was full of s*it about the Cybertruck being able to...
Yeah that's good she has an F250 then, because in this super rare situation, an EV just doesn't work.
The good thing for Tesla is that scenario represents 0.01% of Cybertruck purchasers.
There's always the Tesla Semi option which as you said above, the more you tow the more money you make...
That's nice !! An EV with a bigger battery gets better range, amazing really.
Now people have an option, if they want an EV in a truck format that has better range towing, buy one with a bigger battery. The Silverado EV fits that bill.
If you don't need to tow as much, which is 90% of most...
I'll be using it to put tools and materials from Home Depot and Lowes in it that wouldn't fit in my other cars, including my Model Y.
Why would it be assumed that a truck would need to pull a trailer off the back to be used for work?
Also, it CAN pull a trailer. Who says it cannot? Maybe you...
This is comical reading all these upset posts, as if this is a shock an EV, even in the shape of a truck, cannot tow very far without recharging.
EV battery technology has not magically evolved all of a sudden. EVs are just not capable of towing very far because battery technology is still not...
Who buys an EV to tow?? Cmon. EV battery technology has not evolved enough for that task, we are a long time away from an EV being considered a realistic vehicle for towing.
If you need to tow, get yourself a diesel pickup, end of story.
