I've seen a few people CLAIM to get siriusxm working on ryzen based cars on the TMC forum. This guy claims to have it running in the new Y, although I don't think he stated if he lost FM functionality. If nobody else is willing to take the risk, I might do it myself. If anyone has any prior...
Update for anyone still lurking this thread:
Was going to get it reattached on 4/11 (along with tire rotation, camera cleaning, etc) but they just randomly rescheduled it? It's on the 15th now, lightbar reattachment is free.
Currently have a strip of packing tape on each side going from the top...
I’d be happy to post some photos, not trying to fud Tesla but the only way for this to not become a huge issue is to get them to stop cutting corners as soon as possible. Came off after i hand washed the car, frequently go 100 on the highway and it’s stayed on perfectly. Was going like 60 when...
Can i get mobile service to fix it? Put some scotch tape temporarily but I still don’t feel safe driving with this on the highway. Also took them 2 weeks to install the bar originally for some reason.
As i was driving on the highway, my light bar’s adhesive got completely removed and it was hanging on by the connection wire. I don’t want to bring it in for service cause it’ll take two weeks to get it in. Any manual fixes?
I thought this was just another generic overpriced android box branded as “Tesla specific” but this actually taps into the CAN bus. It’s similar to the 3/Y where you have to remove the trim and install a MITM thing. The install guide is here, maybe the footwell OBD port is for toolbox only...
Ah, if you already have Apple Music I’d stick with that (better ui, better airplay compatibility, better quality, etc.). I’m stuck with Spotify because I can’t handle the 100 song limit on AM.
You actually don’t need power to get the charging cable out (although there’s a high chance of breaking your charge port doing this) there’s an emergency release somewhere in the back, quick google search would probably find it. I wouldn’t do it unless you really need it towed and the cable is...
Most people don’t do that though, you can do that same trick with your internet bill, why don’t you? It’s cause you didn’t know about it. Plus with satellite you could just visit your dealer and get the teenager working the front to renew your trial for free.
Lmfao, they put together the worst part of satellite (radio ids) and streaming (ip streaming instead of satellite) and expect you to pay $25/m for it (3x the price of Spotify!). They’ll dangle their (annual) $5/m plan in front of you and hope you forget about it so they can hit you with a $300...
Probably larger than a software issue, if it’s software related a mobile tech could’ve reflashed your mcu on the road. Hope for the best.
edit: this guy claims it was an issue with his high voltage regulator, the actual labor to repair it should be quick, parts might take a while to come in...
SXM claims they have some type of “brand new technology” for accessing their radio in the holiday update. Is there actually some brand new tech or is it literally just internet streaming but you have to pay separately for your Tesla? Would have asked on the TMC but my account is too fresh to...
