No one can do it ever again. All future car companies will never be able to succeed. Why even bother trying. The love of Tesla is shared by many, but calling these workers deluded and fraudsters. Really? I guess no one can ever try again.
Time will add a lot of clarity to your perspective. Watch and see.

I just finished watching Jays review. Nothing but positive things to say.

Fun fact: the left and right taillight assemblies use one part # for both sides of the truck.

I expect to see as many base-model Slates as there are RWD Cybertrucks. The cost rises significantly with the larger pack and extra accessories.

This is why I think it'll be the Raspberry Pi of small trucks. By the time most people buy accessories, it isn't much cheaper than a single board computer or small server. People buy it because it's hacker-friendly.

That said, I look forward to seeing what people do with it.

The pitiful 150/240 mile battery range, lack of AWD and questionable value proposition are going to hurt sales. I do love the back to basics approach however.

Buyers can purchase a brand new 5-seat Maverick crew cab hybrid pickup w/PW and PDL for $28,145 AND get an easy 500 miles of range with the 13.8 gallon fuel tank.

I watched Jay's interview too. The Slate team is the most unimpressive group of execs I've seen in a long time. And the truck? Amateur. Have you seen the details? Look closely, and then remember when the Smart car was supposed to have replaceable plastic exterior panels. That market never emerged - there's so much clickbait stuff here that means nothing. Window winders? Electrifying windows is cheaper, easier - and their surface-mounted window electrification kit is more amateurish than the ones available for early-90's Miatas. This idea of modular choice is just dumb and INCREASES production cost vs standardization - and the price point is silly - a Maverick is cheaper and is a fully formed truck with real support. This thing does not have legs IMHO.

The Slate will probably MSRP for the mid to high 20's. Add some must have options like the large battery pack, power windows, etc. and it climbs quickly.

I don't see many buyers choosing the standard 150 mile battery pack which equates to roughly 110-120 of "real world" range.
