Just FYI this is launching in about 10 days...not 3D printed, integrated dual chargers :)

Whoa. Very similar design. Interesting. What does it connect to for power?
Also..importantly. Does a key card work through it?

It can connect either to the USB-C in the center console (under the armrest, you can lead the cord from behind) or at the USB-C under the rear display. Both ways (I will show it on video) I route it from between the passenger seat and the center console.
Key card - no, it won't catch signal through that, it's total of 1/2" cast acrylic (pretty dense and heavy material). So for those who use it frequently (be that valet or something else) it won't be a convenient product.

Wow! Very similar! It’s a great solution. My version being 3D printed is not a bad thing. Being able to distribute the file to DIYers makes me happy. I like the appearance. I’m glad there are more options for our community. I tried the CT keycard with my setup and it works just fine.

I uploaded the files to Makerworld

https://makerworld.com/en/models/1859081-cybertruck-magsafe-charging-pad#profileId-1988148

If you are interested, try it out.

The chargers I used :
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DLP157QH?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

The cord:
https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0DSJ2SLSY?ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_fed_asin_title&th=1

If you don't have a 3D printer set up or a friend with one, I'll print one out in PETG-Carbon fiber for $20 plus USPS shipping - probably around $9 in their padded envelopes. If you wanted me to send you out a completed setup, it's $75 plus shipping.

If you print one out and like it, let me know and if you wanted to buy me or anyone else a cup of coffee, that is payment enough.

Good luck to us all.

How do you keep this from lifting when you pull the phone?

I just slide the phone toward the side or the middle, breaking the magnetic hold and lift the phone up. It’s pretty simple. I’ve been using this for a few weeks now and I really like it!

Love mine too. Thank you @Sandman1962. In my case for a different application.
I charge our phones on magbak chargers on either side of the screen and I use the center console one to charge two of the Tesla wireless batteries so I can take them with me and keep charging them other places. Very useful as stands for letting the kids watch stuff in restaurants and such.

https://shop.tesla.com/product/wireless-portable-charger?sku=2058795-00-B

They get very hot though. Especially since I have a little tool holder attached to my cupholder insert and that makes a confined space at the bottom of the charger pad. With this thing the batteries are raised up and have stopped getting alarmingly hot.

I got one of the ones sold by the stores. Doesn't work well for my Samsung phone, because the camera bump still comes out last the case, and make it tough to catch the magnet. The issue is the magnet being flush with the surface.
Two great improvements to the store bought product would be:

- the magnet could be raised 1/8" above the surface
- the base could be longer at the bottom, so the phone is raised up a bit so you can see the bottom of the screen. The 3d printed one here looks like it has that improvement.

The one I got had the magnets in spun away from Noon? magnets work better when polarities align, so not sure if this could be better.

I made a modified version. Just sharing…
Mine has been working great. Im
Waiting for my CT to be done at the service center but does anyone know if the update allows turning off of the OEM chargers (like it does in my loaner Model X)?

Is there such a thing as a glow in the dark printing reel?

Yeah but I’m not sure how much glow you’d get … but it could be done!
