A brighter Reverse light

Has anyone found a better reverse light? I have a hard time reversing with using the camera or mirrors with the built-in reverse light. Need something brighter, any ideas?

There are a few products on the market which go around the tow hitch and use the trailer wiring.. Don't know if any would fit the CT, but there's somewhere to start I suppose.

Buy the lightbar, have Tesla glue it on backwards. Problem solved ?

Tbf, maybe an aftermarket could do a lightbar with front and back lights...

That's cool. I notice in the product pics it shows the hitch cover off. Wonder if you can put it back on with this installed. Also, the description says you will have the trailer emblem on the screen. I'd be more tempted if there was a way to not have the trailer on the screen. Just to keep things minimal. Also wonder if having the truck think there is a trailer would make any impact to the way the CT operates.

I saw the YouTube review and installation videos, seems pretty nice. The trailer light on the screen really isn’t a huge issue but you’re right, it would be nice to bypass that way of tapping into the system. Hitch cover can be reinstalled.

This is the boost bar tsport uses for their kit… just need to make a harness that taps into the reverse light system. I kind of understand the trailer power, won’t have to worry about overloading the wiring.

I think it is not just the brightness of the light. I also see a dark area shadowed by the rear bumper as the lights are more than 6 inches on the inside. The location of the new lights also needs to change. Cameras are not really very good at handling that contrast. I also find side mirrors useless while backing up in the dark. Camera feed on the screen is also dull especially in the night.

Assuming it hooks up to the trailer lights port just like the tsportline option, I am guessing it should work on the standard 12V architecture. The only catch is the toe hitch cover needs to be removed or cut out for the 3-in-1 reverse light/brake light/running tail light. If someone can 3d print sockets for this next to the actual hitch socket may be we can have two of these.

I ordered even though DD were not sure of compatibility. The 7 prong harness should work and hopefully no error codes on screen.
