So if you do this then even when on level 2 charging the fridge works? also how involved is tapping into the accessory feeds and running it to the vault?
It works even when Level 2 charging. (1) Charge Bluetti with truck. (2) Run fridge off Bluetti. (3) Truck shuts off for any reason, Bluetti keeps going until depleted, but you don’t let it deplete entirely because (1).

Not to belabor this point but a cabin fridge has many advantages beyond just being able to reach for a drink while driving.
Sorry for the messy pic but I keep one right in front of our rear facing car seat. Also have one on order from cybergearco which will likely replace it if you can’t spare the floor space like I can.
You’re running cabin overheat protection anyway and burning energy to do that whereas the vault at least in Arizona gets scalding hot. It’s just more efficient to put the fridge in that space.
I have both a cabin and vault fridge and use them on different occasions. By far prefer the cabin fridge.
Also, another useful tip, since my kids climb in and out using the fridge as a step sometimes, I put a piece of clear ppf on the top of it. Works like magic. Not a scratch.

This is the dual zone fridge freezer I use. PERFECTLY sized for behind the drivers seat (or passenger I suppose). Like it was designed to go there.

Hey this helpful to
Know. So does that mean if i have a usb c to 12volt adapter that can power the fridge since it charges with 12volt?

also im kind of dumb. How does that anker c300dc work and is there a way to power it to power the fridge in the vault rather than in the cabin?
Anything with two way usb (that can charge off a
USB-c) will work

It's very easy with a universal 12v.

Get a basic maintainer and plug that into the 120v in the bed. Next, get a 30-50W solar maintainer from Amazon and mount the little thing somewhere. Dash works fine or you can put it on cross bars or something.

Connect it all to the battery. Then wire in your fridge to the load of the solar controller. About $200 and you can use it for whatever 12v stuff you want.

This is what I do so I don't have to worry about the truck being parked and running the inverter all the time.

I'll get you a shopping list, stand by.
This is way cool. Very excited about that shopping list if the offer still stands.

I use an Anker EverFrost 43L (medium-size). It has a removable battery so I never worry about it losing power. I have it pre-chill using its battery while the truck is charging on AC (since the AC outlets can't be used during that time). And when I park, I don't have to remember to leave the AC outlets on since it seamlessly switches to its built-in battery (and charges back up when it gets power again).

I have looked at this option.Very tempting. So real world, if you leave it in a hot vault on a summers day on dual zone fridge/freezer, how long does that battery keep it cold. That one has a little vent fan on the top too right?
Love the username btw. No relation to the artists accused of lipsync I assume?

I believe the fan is on the side. The model I have is single-zone; the largest model is dual-zone. I've tried (and returned) dual-zone models before—with a single cooling unit and thin insulation, they simply can't provide consistent temperatures and separation...plus, the divider eats up space and makes it impossible to put anything large in there. Some folks suggest buying two separate fridges set to different temps if you want true cooling & freezing compartments.

I haven't stress-tested it that much, so I'm not sure how it would perform in that situation. I think it works well for the price, but there might be more robust solutions out there at other price points.

There's a thread on the brand here: https://www.cybertruckownersclub.co...ic-cooler-ct-family-vacation-happiness.19679/ (this is where I first heard about it before buying one myself).

This is awesome. Is the wiring challenging? I may take this
Options
No, it's not challenging. A standard car battery has plenty of current to do lots of things at once. A fridge is certainly no issue and it'll run independent of the truck, but the truck can help maintain it while driving.

List done, sorry about the wait. Pretty easy set up, been using it for about 6 months, no issues.

Very cool setup. If you’re into the ecoflow stuff and /or already have one, the alternator charger also works very well as a two way battery tender

i use a Bougerv fridge in the Vault. connected to the trailer Aux port. 12v. i got this in particular because its stainless steel, and almost exactly the same size as the Tesla storage bins. where its sitting, the angle of the bed creates an open space for hot exhaust.
